Mixed bag overall at Ggiata. Kudos to the Lily: soft fluffy ciabatta, crispy prosciutto, velvety soft scrambled eggs, a rich grated romano, and well-dressed peppery sharp arugula. Pass on the sausage, egg, and cheese aka "SEC." The bagel was overwhelmingly bitter from the hard burn, the homemade hot Italian sausage was a dry, tasteless, lifeless puck, and the whole ensemble lacked salt. Service is slow, but I suppose that's the cost of doing business when you operate on the side of the beach.

Amazing!!! I ordered the Caesar salad and the caprese sandwich. Both were delicious and very fresh! The Caesar salad had chunks of Parmesan. The dressing was clearly homemade and well made. The caprese salad had a delicious balsamic glaze with fresh mozzarella.Overall a great price and deli near Venice beach!

The chicken Caesar wrap is INSANE. Best I've ever had in my life. Balanced and delicious!

Ggiata Venice is as good as their West Hollywood location. Everything from the bread to all the great stuff they put inside the sandwiches you can taste the quality and love. Staff are all very nice and helpful. I just hope they had more room to sit.

I had a superb sammy at the other location a few years back but today's Italian took it to another level. I love the thin soft ciabatta bread! Made it spicy so was even better. Cute little location to pickup food (or sit at one of the few tables on the sidewalk) on a very busy corner in Venice. We walked down to the grass on the beach and chilled out with our lunch. They have expanded their menu since I last visited, and it's awesome. My friend loved her bitter greens salad. The meat was piled high on my sando with delicious calabrian pepper spread, gave it a yummy kick. I would probably order online during peak hours but today we only waited a few minutes for our food since we rolled through later in the afternoon.

This place is great. So far had tried about three different sandwiches. The meatball, the chicken Parm, and the Gigi. I think the Gigi was surprisingly my favorite. Loved the roast beef with Russian dressing on it. While I did like the chicken Parm and Meatball, the Gigi was the most distinct.

This place is a complete joke. The sandwiches are both overpriced and mediocre, yet there's always an absurdly long line. Even if you order well in advance, your pickup isn't ready when promised, and you end up waiting even longer. I can't fathom how it's gained any popularity, let alone with locals. It's not even located directly on the boardwalk; it lacks any charm or appeal for tourists. The residents supporting this business themselves might be clueless, lol. It's truly embarrassing that such an establishment even exists.

** Pictures are of two different orders ** When Ggiata is good, it is really great… But the times where it has been bad have been about equal ! The quality control, particularly their proportions, are not consistent. Great flavors, fun sandwiches but you never know if your bread will be toasted or soggy.

Great sandwiches + impossibly slow service. Consistently more than 40 minute wait for a single sandwich order (3x in past month). Either order ahead or accept the absurd wait. Staff will tell you 20 min wait - don't believe them.

Let me just say that I really wanted to enjoy this place more than I expected. Social media has definitely hyped it up. As someone who has eaten sandwiches all over the country including the East Coast I was looking forward to visiting. First off, it is directly on the corner And parking can be a challenge if you cannot find street parking. You might have to use one of the neighboring lots. When we arrive there was a small line inside the location but also some people were milling about waiting for their order. We ordered two Italian sandwiches, one Burr, which is the tuna And one spicy P. Additionally, we added two bags of chips into Mexican cokes. It came to a total of $89 and change. Pro tip - if you sign up on their website, they will send you a promo for $25 off of $75. However, I did not have the app download it to use this and the cashier couldn't do it with the email that I had. It took about 20+ minutes to get our food. I suggest next time pre-ordering online just to save the wait time etc. all of the sandwiches were stuffed with their specific ingredients. I loved the tuna, but I probably would not have it on the charred bread. The Italians were also pretty decent. However, it's almost like it's missing the top portion of the bread as it is well stuffed, making a little bit challenging to eat. We also found the shredded lettuce to be excessively wet. And this is not because of the additional oils or sauces that is added. The spicy P was pretty good. It does have the spice within the sauce. The chicken cutlet was a little chewy and stringy to be honest. while we did not finish our entire meal at the location, we did take it home and finished it for that evening's dinner. The sandwiches do get excessively soggy. The spicy P also comes in a box and most of the ingredients had fallen out during service and when we transported it back home. I would recommend having that wrapped. Overall, the real stand out was the tuna to be honest. The Italian while did have plenty of meat and cheese didn't really have any significant flavor overall. And quite honestly we thought the value was just fair at best. there is limited seating outside and a few counter seats inside. Most guests were taking sandwiches to go. I would give it another try and have the tuna again as well as maybe another sandwich.

Ordered delivery. Came on time. Don't recommend the eggplant fries as they're soggy by the time they arrived and don't taste that great. The sandwiches are delicious but very saucy so you'll need a lot of napkins. The bread is what does it. Very chewy and delicious. Ordered the j stilly, not a lot of prosciutto but did the job. The Draper is also very wet- ok only, sweet but plain. The bread is very good.

good, but not great! ordered the spicy P on ciabatta. spice is fine, but the chicken had no flavor. or the cheese.

Came here with my parents for lunch. It can be a bit of a wait so if you're coming during your lunch hour be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes. They make the sandwiches to order though so it's gonna be fresh. I thought the chicken park was quite flavorful but wasn't as crisp as I would like. My parents thought the sandwiches were overall pretty good but the bread was a little on the soft side and could be more crunchy. They also have some potatoes that are only available for breakfast which was a little disheartening. Hopefully I can try it next time. Good sandwich place overall but didn't think it was wildly fantastic.
