I never got to go back before they permanently closed ! Writing this review out of nostalgia!!! This was my first brewery experience in Ventura County! I will miss them! Fun times were had here for sure!

Best Fish and Chips in town. Don't like all the wanna be new breweries in town. Most will be gone within 5 years tops! Love your atmosphere..... You guys rock!

I was very satisfied with the Shepard's Pie. It was savory and wholesome. I recommend this dish to anyone looking for a meaty, cheesy, with mashed potatoes.

First time at the restaurant. It's a real shame they they'll be closing down next week. I really enjoyed the food and the owner of the restaurant was a joy to meet. The server was attentive, nice, and passionate about his job. I wish everyone at this company good luck in their future endeavors.

We absolutely love the location of Anacapa Brewing! There is plenty of free street parking around. It's close to the beach and we like escaping the heat of the SF valley. There are a lot of other great eateries around but this is one of our faves! Everything we tried here is delicious! Hubby got fish and chips. I ordered the Scorcher Burger. Fries and onion rings also were good. Daughter got the mini corn dogs. Service was friendly and checked on us a lot. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu! Dog friendly and plenty of seats inside and out on the patio and street which they converted to more tables to eat on. Clean bathrooms as well which is always a plus!

I live in Ventura and decided to take a friend here. We got seated outside. There were 2 waiters working who both blatantly ignored us. After 20 minutes we left. I will never to back or recommend it to anyone

Family and I were walking Main Street on a Saturday morning. The street was closed to vehicular traffic. Saw Anacapa and my wife suggested getting a brew to go. The bar is long and comfy. Tables inside and outside. The food looked good. I asked about beer to go and got a growler of Seaward Golden to go. It's delicious and light. A truly great golden ale. Looking forward to returning hopefully soon.

Stopped at Anacapa as an old national park guide recommended it for a place to go after you went to Channel Islands NP. So glad we did! The service was great, the food was great, and the beer was delicious. We got fish and chips and the Newport sandwich(customized to brioche bun). The beer battering on broth made both the fish and chicken so light. The tarter sauce was dill forward and was super delicious. The hot sauce on the chicken had a good kick and the chicken was super juicy. Highly recommend this spot. However, if you're taking Google directions heads up the street it's on is shut down as its now all walkable space. park in any of the local lots and it's a short walk.

Have been here many times and was disappointed. Had the beer battered stuffed Jalapenos, which were tasty but NO heat, sad. Had the Ojai chicken sandwich and did not understand what the hype was. Also had a happy hour pint and it all cost $40, crazy right! The fries were great and the service was great. I guess I just remember it from 10 years ago when I used to frequent the place several times.

It was the most kind experience. The waiter was most accommodating and knew the menu well. Suggestions on the wine and beer. We were all happy with his recommendations. While most had the fish and chips (they liked it), I got the Sheczwhan (sp?) salad with grilled chicken. The salad was amazing ? and worth $18. I will be back! Thank you to the staff and chefs ❤

All things being equal along Main Street, the weather, the people watching, the dogs to be pet, the reason Anacapa stands out are the food, brew, and crew! The food choices are great. The Jetty Fries are the best garlic fries we've had in ages, possibly ever. My husband is vegan and had an incredible bean burger with added pesto basil and sun dried tomatoes. No lack of flavor there. I had the kitchen pizza, more cheese than the man on the moon can eat. It's a brewery so of course a trip down the tap line is necessary. Nothing disappoints. The Anacapa IPA is our go to. My husband describes it as having been blessed by the monks at the mission it's so good. Lastly, the crew. The staff here is all so nice. Just genuine real people who are patient, kind, and fun. Chris our server could not have been more attentive and laid back. Zach was also super helpful. Oh one thing though, if you're some uptight, anal, j*** who isn't about a chill hang out, try new things, chat with the people around you type, then keep walking find a different place. Or I suppose come on in, cuz this place could fix you right up, it's that good.
