I was super impressed with the owner Parfait. He welcomed us last minute on a very busy Friday Night. From the tremendous wine recommendations to the charcuterie to the pasta and finally the pizza it was all amazing . To top it off parfait worked as waiter bus person and sommelier. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back!

The ambiance was lovely.The owner/waiter was kind and easygoing. The food was amazing. I had the Smoked Salmon; it was light and savory. A friend had the Russian, and omg, it was amazing. (I had a bite) I will definitely be going back to this cozy spot and getting what my friend ordered. Oh, and not to mention this place had a great selection of wines.

Most importantly, Parfait customizes the experience to each of his customers' preferences. He is uncannily savvy at assessing customers' wine preferences, but once he knows your palate, you will be even more pleasantly surprised by his suggestions. We moved to Orange County three years ago and have tried many of the top-rated restaurants near us. We seek out chef-owned/operated and/or prix fixe menus, but nothing compares, at any price. We yearn each weekend for Barrel 33... We (Gavin and Tanya) miss you and your incredible talent, Parfait!

Nothing but the highest praise for this place, it was a phenomenal experience. We came through Ventura on our way to Santa Barbara and I stumbled across this place on Yelp, and I am so glad I did. We'll be planning future trips to the area based on Barrel 33 and our experience there. The owner was serving and seating guests and he was one of the most lovely humans I've ever met. You could tell this was more than work, but a passion and a joy for him to share the experience he created. The space is secluded in spite of being off a larger street, you feel as though your transported to a secret garden. It's peaceful, with a delightful mix of French music playing in the background. The entire ambiance is built to relax you and make you feel like you could spend hours there. My fiancé and I each had a glass of wine (DIVINE), shared the truffled Brie appetizer (DIVINE), I ordered the tarragon pasta and he the pepperoni pizza (ALL DIVINE, the pasta was probably the best I ever had). To say the food was phenomenal would be an understatement, but even if it wasn't the real draw of this place is the charming space and most welcoming and warm service. The whole thing is 10/10. I wish I could give all the stars. Please if you are making you way through or to this area do not miss this place! Just be sure to call ahead :)

This place is amazing, my first ever fine dining like experience. Truly heartwarming, and an experience of it’s own. We loved the pesto pasta so much we asked for recipe and they not only showed us the recipe but also shared their marinara for us to taste and shared some of their secrets. Excited to go home and try it

The ambience is charming and relaxing, you instantly settle in for a great time. The pastas our group had were amazing, the wines were perfectly paired and the creme brulee and souffle were to die for. We were visiting from out of town and will always make it a priority to come here! Thank you so much for a wonderful meal.

Wow I fell in love with this place the moment I walked in! The garden is absolutely beautiful and enchanting. The owner is so kind and thoughtful. I ordered the Prima Vera pasta and it was SO. GOOD. The wine was also delicious. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing time, good food, and friendly service.
