I had my boyfriend go in to get me a cauliflower burger, he went in and the man ringing him up was visibly annoyed and even said "you're coming in pretty late huh", it was 40 minutes before close. This is not even the worst part, I've ate the same thing here plenty of times but when I took a bite of it I noticed it was extremely spicy and just tasted gross to the point where it was inedible. It was supposed to be the first meal I ate after a long hard day, because vegan takeout is pretty scarce. I couldn't go out and get food somewhere else because everywhere was closed. I believe it was the owners fault, all the other staff members are always super friendly, only giving two stars because of past times i've been here. Super disappointing! Never coming here again because owner wanted to be petty because I order food over a half an hour before they closed. If you want a good vegan place in ventura to eat at after 7pm i'd say avoid this place and head to the seed ranger which is 5 minutes away on Johnson.

Drove an 1 and 45 to this spot Best decision I've made this week, friendly and fast service! Ordered the Beef Lumpia and the Haven Bowl with Oxtail. The Haven bowls came with rice and peas and a cabbage salad and was the perfect amount along with the generous portion of oxtail! Each plate was hot and fresh from the kitchen. A great place to stop for lunch inside the plaza its in :) Bonus points because they were playing Sade inside lol

We stop here EVERY time we head up to SLO. Chef Bobby’s food is amazing. The Jerk Chicken is a must. Being Filipino, I know Filipino food and the Pinoy dishes here are legit.

I cook a lot, I don't go out much, but I'll be bringing the family here. Excellent food and service. Live a little, try something new

There are no words to describe how amazing the food here is, it has excellent quality, large quantity, and at a reasonable price. Eating here makes you feel like a king and the owner here is very polite. The Caribbean atmosphere makes you feel relaxed; and makes you want to come back here more. The first time I came here for lunch was so amazing it made me come back for dinner, if you are in southern California and looking for somewhere to eat; you just mined and hit diamonds.

Wow I can’t believe this place doesn’t have five stars! Seriously best restaurant in Ventura. So much flavor and always fresh with vegetables. There are tons of veg options and you can get anything wrapped in a roti. Love this place so much!

Really good Caribbean food. It’s very flavorful and the staff have been nice each time I’ve visited. I usually order to go because I’m always working. Not sure why this place isn’t more packed because it’s definitely good eats!I have had the jerk platter/plate with chicken and tri-tip, the spicy coleslaw, jerk fries with the most delicious jerk condiment, and the plantains which I love! I also had the empanadas which never made it out of the parking lot! I eat them right there. I love experiencing other foods and cultures and there aren’t a lot of Caribbean spots in Texas so this was a pleasant and much needed break from Tex-mex. lol. Again, good food, nice staff, and seems like it would be a cool environment but I just don’t eat in. I recommend!

It’s no secret that people tend to only leave reviews when they are displeased with a place so i wanted to take the time to leave a real review that this place truly deserves! Caribbean Haven is beyond stellar! I was craving oxtails and on a whim searched on DD and found this place. I bought a side of oxtails and a Jamaican beef patty and let me just say i have since returned 3 days in a row! im sure the cost is a little less steep in house since DD tacks on a lot of fees but Caribbean Haven earned its name! The pictures dont do it justice! The Jamaican Beef Patty tastes like a tamale made to perfection! its so moist and delicious ? and the oxtails are seasoned to perfection!! omagah!! and so tender! Dont listen to these other negative nancies give this place a try! you will thank me later! they deserve more than 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ✨
