How can you mess up breakfast? Let's start with the waitress, She did poorly when it came to service. we ordered our drinks and it took quite a while for them to arrive Luckily, it gave us enough time to look over the menu We expected more from Hill Café, because we noticed that it's the same menu as downtown Café in Oxnard So we got excited because we love downtown Café Our food came out quick, which was good. However, we quickly noticed that the beans were the majority of the plate. on top of that, They tasted as if they came from a premade can, which lacked any flavor. The Chilaquiles ($18.99) were OK, but the huevos rancheros ($17.99) that we ordered were basically a quesadilla with an egg on top. We also ordered a flight of mimosas at the same time as we ordered our food, but those didn't arrive till almost 10 minutes after we had finished our food and ready to go Our plates were picked up, table was empty and credit card on the table, ready to pay, and still could not seem to get our waitresses attention. We still felt generous enough to leave a 10% tip but For almost $100 worth of food here, we could have spent $30 at chipotle and have had better service We hate to leave reviews like this, but we definitely dislike this kind of experience even more and felt a review was necessary

My co workers and I work third shift and come just about every Friday morning. Everything we have tried has been amazing. The service is always amazing. Our regular server Erica is always on point and very attentive. Would definitely recommend coming here. Always a good time.

Food was Great, I got the Grilled Fish Tacos and the only issue is that I wished it was battered and fried. However I thoroughly enjoyed it, the creamy aioli sauce accentuated the Crunchy cabbage and pico de gallo. If I'm not mistaken the tortillas were handmade, The Wife Recommends the Chile Verde plate she's in love. The Cinnamon Roll was amazing, and this Latte was strong and smooth. The cafe was slow with people and the service was just good, we waited A while to get our order taken. Erica however was very helpful and We couldn't help but enjoy the Nice decorations they have set up for St. Patrick Day. Definitely will be back soon.

I had previously been here with friends/ coworkers! This time I decided to come in with my family. I'm a fan of their orange juice which is freshly squeezed! Our waitress Erika was very friendly and gave her menu suggestions! She was very friendly and had a positive attitude! This place makes you feel at home and like you're amongst family. They have nice decorations at the entrance for a good picture opportunity if you're into that!

It was an unusual rainy California day when we decided to try Hill Steet Cafe. I was surprised at the variety on the menu.We drank café de hoya which in English is Cinnamon coffee. Very yummy! My burger and fries were exactly as ordered. Good thick ranch, not the fake kind. My friend ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was well-cooked but not too special and the waffles were nice and fluffy. We were seated fairly quickly and you could tell by the amount of people within that it was a popular spot. I'm sure I'll go back again.
