I got the lunch bento with katsu and spicy tuna roll. Everything had a delicious flavor, the rice was perfect, and the salad was fresh. My wife is vegetarian and the chef made her an awesome tofu hot stone bowl. The chef was really talented, helpful, and fast. We’ll definitely be returning.

Solid sushi option in Ventura. The sushi was good (definitely fresh) and the location/atmosphere was very casual.We visited on a Friday evening and the locals were definitely showing up. The service was friendly but it’s clear that they’re understaffed and stretched pretty thin.
Best sushi in Ventura hands down. The chef works very hard and the fish is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. I love all the nigiri sushi's, but the Las Vegas roll has a special place in my heart.

The BEST sushi place in town! We love to try out different sushi restaurants all the time from all over the country, but this one takes the cake every time. Staff is extremely friendly, ambiance and music is always super comfortable. It might be tucked away, but Kyoto Sushi is a MUST visit when visiting Ventura! It is our #1 choice every time
