We celebrated my daughter’s birthday last night at this quaint little French bakery/restaurant. She had a Niçoise salad and I had the seafood crepe. The food, atmosphere, house wine and, most of all the staff, were amazing. The prices are not outrageous and the portions were generous. It is small, but a unique way to spend an evening out. The tuna and chowder were superb.

La Petit Cafe is a quaint restaurant nestled at the Ventura Harbor! Nykia was so sweet! The coffee, french toast, seafood crepe and omelettes and potatoes were amazing! We also ordered steak and eggs medium well that was actually well done and tough. We asked Nykia to have it redone with a little pink and it came back nearly raw. At the end of our meal we had to request it be removed from the bill! John Luke (Jon Luc) the owner was very unhappy and showed it. He argued with us about the level of doneness and his career as a chef and knowing what medium well was. He was super rude, insulting and so unprofessional. Outside of that experience this cafe was cute and delicious.

Ventura HarborMy daughter is visiting with me from out of state. After running some running around I decided to take her out to breakfast. The Ventura Harbor is a wonderful place to share with a loved one.I’ve never been to this restaurant prior to today and was blown away by the waitress Megan, the food, and the atmosphere. As we were sitting down eating along with the French music in the background I felt like Sabrina in the movie.Le Petit Cafe is not just a restaurant it’s an experience ?I HIGHLY recommend Le Petit CafeAnd if you visit this wonderful place another plus is they have an incredible bakery with a wonderful variety of sweets that will excite your tastebuds ?Ask for Megan and tell her Pamela and her Teacup Rosie ? Rosie sent you

My mother and I absolutely LOVED this gem of a dining experience!! We arrived right when they opened, so it was lovely to relish the peaceful atmosphere. The aesthetic is so cute, and with the low volume, the French music transported us to a café in Paris. The friendly staff are wonderful. Service was impeccable!! Merci Megan! The coffee!! Goodness I never like restaurant coffee—it was delicious!! I ordered a vanilla and hazelnut latte with oat milk. My mother got the same with regular milk. For brunch we ordered the Crepes, French toast, and a side of scrambled eggs to share. Loved that the plates included a slice of orange. Then our own sides of bacon. Both entrees came with a cup of seasonal fruit and whipped cream. The fruit was so fresh! I’ve never had kiwi that tasted so sweet; I still want more! The crepes were good, but I think they would have been better with lingonberry sauce than maple syrup. Would still get it again tho. The French Toast—myyyy—gooooodddddneeesss it is superb!! They make their French Toast using croissants. It taste like a mixture of churros and funnel cake—get it, I promise you it’s worth it. The eggs were so fluffy, the bacon—let me tell you. There are so many places that over cook bacon to where it’s too hard. Their bacon had just the right balance of crisp and chewy.I enjoyed looking at the wall in the hallway to the restroom. They have showcased some of the history of Le Petit Cafe, and it leads to the bakery. Which I’m sad to say, after walking on the harbor, we were still too full to go back for pastries ? so we’ll have to stop by again soon!I wish I knew about this place sooner. There’s so much more on their menu that looks divine. Such as their quiche and madame croque. Cannot say enough how much I love and recommend Le Petit Cafe & Bakery.Merci beaucoup for a magnifique brunch Dietary restrictions: I so appreciate that they had oat milk as an option for their lattes. It’s rare for a restaurant to offer alternative milk options with their coffee. And it was delicious, also rare for restaurant coffee. Looking forward to more in the future.Parking: There is plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is easy access from the street to the sidewalk. Then a ramp next to the stairs for the restaurant. Inside, the hallway to the restroom is narrow, so not sure if a wheelchair can fit thru there. However, if you exit the restaurant and enter on the side of the bakery, may be easier access to their bathroom.

Mediocre food at criminal prices. They charge $8 for a croissant that tastes like it was store bought. This is one of those classic places that choose to charge ridiculous prices because of where they're located. Our server was excellent though.

We've never had a bad meal here. Wonderful food, great service, and right on the harbor. It's a small restaurant and they don't take reservations so try to avoid busy times or be prepared for a wait (it's worth it).

We went to celebrate my mother-in-law 's Birthday. They had our reservation and seated us right away at a great table overlooking the patio and water. The service was first class and the fresh sea bass terrific. I also recommend the french onion soup.

It's amazing to me that I have never reviewed this little gem. RRR and I do our best to come here every time we visit our family in the area and feel shortchanged if we miss it. The patio is our favorite spot to relax with a glass of wine and a french inspired lunch menu. The pastries, from baguettes and croissants to rich sweet eclairs, are absolutely fabulous. The owner- chef is French and he is an outstanding pastry chef. I love the Croque Monsieur, the omelettes, the soups, the crepes... really everything! Just don't miss enjoying a baguette or a croissant.RRR adores the seafood crepe for lunch and can never get himself to order anything else. I vary depending on my mood and appetite. Also, the wait staff has always been very fine!We have been coming here for years and have no complaints, never anything but a top notch experience.Parking: It can get very busy on weekends and parking can be a challenge then. You might have to walk a bit but we've always found a spot.
