If you're in the Oxnard or Ventura area, or passing through, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in at the Lester Fam Cellars. You just cannot go wrong here. Their wine is really fabulous- their reds in particular, are just stellar. Their tasting room is a like a modern day speakeasy, just as fun as it sounds! We absolutely felt like family after meeting the Lester's- we stayed for two hours and it felt like minutes, great conversation, amazing time- will 100% be back and will 100% be buying more of their gorgeous wine!!!

The 2 brothers and their wives (who are sisters) own and run this winery. The sisters dad also helps out. I enjoy coming here to taste, drink and buy wine. They have fun wine pick up parties. Elissa and Holly (the sisters) are very welcoming and friendly. They make coming here fun!

I'm not the biggest connoisseur of wine -- I love Stella Rosa, but this place was a great way to celebrate my birthday with a close friend!we both had the wine tasting menu, and sampled from 6 or 7 different varieties -- about 2 more wines than the original menu offered. it was a nice surprise since my friend and I had made the trip to Ventura from OC. the service was great. we were attended to just at the right moments so our wine glasses were never empty. the ambiance of the place was also inviting and friendly, yet intimate. the layout was nicely spaced so each table and section felt intimate, yet cozy. if you're out in Ventura, this is a nice gem to try out!

We were told we could even bring food and/or a cheese board by next time we visit, which we definitely would like to do. They also closed at 6, but allowed us to finish our tasting past 6 with no pressure. Great place and so glad to still see excellent businesses and people thriving! Thank you Lester Family Cellars!
