We had a great lunch at this lovely restaurant downtown Ventura. The food was delicious we had the fiesta platter and side of rice and beans. Our server was friendly and accommodating and explained the menu items. Loved the high ceiling and decor. They play music but it's not too loud it allows you to have a conversation without yelling. A Must try!!!

We were visiting our friends here in Ventura. They had a BOGO coupon that was promoting the vegan menu at LyS and asked us to go and give them our review. It turns out there is also quite a full traditional non-vegan menu that also looks really great, but we stuck to the vegan choices, which were interesting and delicious. Their "cheese" is soy based, and when ordered shredded and dry (not melted), it is really good. We had the grilled nopal and the portobello mushroom and spinach enchiladas. Our server, Adriana, was super patient and did a great job explaining all of the options and also was fantastic helping my wife navigate her food allergies. The fresh-made margaritas are excellent and generous. The ambience is really great, as the restaurant is in what seems to be a very old bank building. I hope we can come back someday.

This was my first time here and it was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. I came in with my friend and we had to send her food back twice due to a severe allergy. We also had to send my food back. The waitress was so unapologetic and never came to check on us. Yet she was happily checking on and entertaining other tables. We then had to ask for the manager who tried to make things better but was also very argumentative and we felt very disrespected as paying customers. I will never return to this establishment.

Worst experience ever! Food came out wrong twice, drinks were wrong, water was never refilled, chips and salsa was not brought to the table after the waitress asked if we wanted some, waitress never checked on us once and didn’t even apologize. Horrible service and will never be back nor recommend this place. The Manager was rude and was arguing with my friend and I towards the end saying she was providing the best service which is what our server should have done. Extremely disappointed

My son's favorite Mexican restaurant, Limon y Sal. He and his wife have been here dozens of times. My favorite is Dragans, directly across the street from Limon y Sal, the best Irish food in Ventura County.

I mean I enjoyed the Baja fish itself… those the taco tortilla crumbled and had way too many extra ingredients.. also the regular tortilla chips are just ok.. it’s been a minute since I left a review of a spot and I did like the service and the vibes, maybe if I got something else, though kinda disappointing that ya couldn’t handle tacos even with the fish tasting great on its own Baja style.

This is crazy I can't believe you guys already add a tip included in the tab.i don't think this is legal we left tip come to see they already had added a tip.you guys need to be careful and see your guys tab and the thing is that they don't even give you the tablet to check..you guys get a tip if you give good service y'all work for the hours to never coming back..

We've tried Limon y Sal at least 4 times now and I'm convinced they just use "different" ingredients. The food seems to lack flavor and the temperature is like warm. Decided to grab a bite before a movie Friday night and it was nearly empty, both downstairs and on the 3rd floor. We stayed anyway and wanted to try the new vegetarian menus on the menu and while we waited, the staff was horesplaying as if their parents were away on vacation. And to top it off, a manager was observed carrying a Fluorescent bulb to a back room, and before he walked in, he placed it between his legs and began stroking it and pointing it towards the bartender!!! After this, we asked to take our nachos to go as we'd seen enough of the immaturity. Oh and to top it off, it was happy hour and they charged us full price!!!

I had a good experience when I was inside of Limón y Sal and everything changed once were were walking out. While a group of us were on the way out, one of the male employees assaulted me. I was pushed with so much force that that I fell and hit the back of my head on the concrete. A lot of witnesses saw, and it was incredibly hard to get information of the employee who did it. Richard was the security that was outside who claimed to not have seen anything. I will be filing a report. I hope that nobody ever gets to experience what I did.

Dont waste your time. They wasted 40 of mine as a twosome when multiple tables were open, claiming boths were for 4 people or more when there was multiple booths with only 2 people. Charged me double for a beer upstairs despite it being happy hour. Bad service overall, wont be back.
