I usually love frozen yogurt. But each time I've gone here I always ask myself why I keep returning. (The answer is my kids and they like the toppings). This time I got the chocolate and vanilla swirl. I know it's frozen yogurt but I've never had my froyo be sour and this was sour. I made sure I didn't get the tart flavor. Their toppings and sauces are plentiful and there's a great selection.

Tasty frozen yogurt flavors. Check! Great topping. Check! Fresh fruit. Check! Menchie's is always such a tasty treat! :) Today was a hot day here in Ventura so the best way to cool down was to come get some frozen yogurt!! The dole whip flavor was perfectly refreshing with some fruit toppings. They have many different types of toppings depending on what you want to add to your yogurt. You can also choose from different type of yogurt flavors or mix two flavors together. They rotate their flavors so you have the opportunity to try many different types. The lady at the register is always polite and helpful and so is the other gentleman there helping her. I saw the man constantly cleaning and he even gave me kids chalk to write on the board. The place is quiet and relaxing. This is our favorite frozen location, so we will continue coming here.

I don’t usually review chains but…woof. This location is awful, and I’ve unfortunately had consistently bad experiences here! The owner is almost never at the register (as one of the other reviewers mentioned, she has been in the back room on her cell phone 4/5 of the times I’ve visited), her attitude is support apathetic and unhelpful, and the froyo in the machines almost always comes out a little melty. Then, when I visited yesterday specifically, I had two very weird and off-putting interactions. First, I came in with an email promo and when I presented it, she said “Oh, I had no idea we were doing this right now. Alright. I’ll just honor it” which I found a bit unprofessional despite being glad that she choose to honor the promo that her business was publicly advertising. Then, as we were adding our toppings, she walked over to my 8-year-old and I to say, “Don’t use the larger cups next time unless you’re going to fill them up all the way. I have to pay more for those so it’s really only worth it if it’s getting filled all the way up.” The cups were teal blue and covered in polka dots, and were each half-full… either way though, it was once again a super unprofessional interaction. Obviously, the better move would be to put up a friendly sign near where you grab the cups or something if it’s that big of a concern.Bummer that we’ll need to either go to the further location or another business altogether the next time that we’re wanting froyo!

Enrique was so helpful & customer friendly (refreshing these days) that we were enticed to go two nights in a row! The only bummer is that we weren't able to give him a tip when using our debit or credit card. We'll try to remember to bring cash next time!

GETTING HERE: This Menchie's is on Victoria and Telegraph, in the CVS and Vons shopping center in Ventura.REVIEW: I mean, meh. It's OK. For one, I am glad they have made it through the other side of c 0 v 1 d. That's a win and even for that reason alone, I will seek out this froyo to help support this small/local biz. Sadly, they don't give out sample cups anymore, but one can infer, right? Small layout inside, a few white tables which kind of spruces up the area, keeps it well-lit. At one point in time, I recall they did have merch for sale. I think there still might be a few random items on the wall. It's a very basic froyo shop, probably one of the very few left in the county. :(Customer service is minimal. I believe the last few times I went in I was helped by the owner. There was a small language barrier, but it didn't deter my order or payment. In this type of business I don't think the customer requires much service other than that.I would recommend. Let's do what we can to help keep small/local businesses running. Plus, who doesn't love froyo? :)

No working restroom. Sketchy person running the place. Refused to scan Menchies app code for points, but still had the Menchies cups with the QR code on them to put the yogurt in. Refused to use the Menchies gift card I had because system was supposedly down, but was fine with using my credit card. All that bs makes me not trust that the yogurt and the toppings were very safe/sanitary. Avoid this place.

Great froyo shop! They have the rotating flavors, and a huge number of candy toppings. But the best part is the fruit toppings are freshly cut instead of frozen! Plus the staff is always so friendly and kind.

This location is rundown. The cashier was wearing sandals in a food establishment. Carmel sauce was empty. Practically had to beg for it to be filled. No strawberry sauce. Yogurt is watery. I wanted to like it but No.

Woah, this place is a trip. We went there for the first time today. The windows are filthy, the yogurt comes out half melted and apparently the "Wi-Fi was down" so she had to use her Apple Square. She "accidentally" added a dollar to the apple square app but I was paying attention so called her on it. It was so blatantly obvious she did that on purpose that we were laughing on the way out! Won't go back.

Your online hours are lying. This location literally closes at 8pm, not 9:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've been calling and no one answers

I was in Ventura and looking for some frozen yogurt and this is what showed up as one of the popular search results. I've been to this plaza many times for Starbucks and the dippin dots when it was still there on the other side of the plaza. This is like any other Menchie's location but everything was very streamlined. I first walked in towards the back and chose a cup. There were 2 different sized. They had the standard cup and also a larger one that was available. What was good was that they're socially distancing people and there was a family ahead of me so the worker told me to wait until the guest was past a certain machine to go over to that side. I was very glad that they had Dole Whip up here and they also had the original tart flavor. Those are the ones I went with and I also got a lot of different fruits another toppings to go with my froyo. At the end I went to the register that was right in the middle of the space and I was able to pay very quickly and out of the store I went. It was very fast and efficient There's a bunch of parking here in the plaza because there's a lot of different shops and stores here.

Overpricing and misleading weight. I decided to buy yogurt in a 40 oz giant bowl. When I took the bowl to the scale, it weighed 37 ounces and I ended up paying $26.26. I was surprised. It did not make sense because if we multiply 37 ounces by $0.61 per ounce plus taxes is 22.57 +2.03= $24.60. I spoke with the store cashier who said that he needs to add 1 ounce more for the bowl's weight itself. It does not make sense to add one ounce more when the bowl's weight was already included in the original weight of 37 ounces. I think Menchies should change their policy in relation to their price per ounce and also train the cashier to be more friendly to their customers and to provide business cards with the owner's name and number to complain. I did not feel welcomed moreover when he mentioned when I asked him about the price issue. He unnecessarily mentioned that he needed to clean a little yogurt left on the table and floor by my daughter. Incredible! He never provided me the business card and manager's name. Definitely, I won't return back
