I love Greek food and was extremely excited to try this place for their gyros. After reading the reviews I wanted to give this place a chance.I ordered the gyro plate and my friend ordered the gyro salad and got chicken. Pricing is good but I was extremely disappointed in the service and the quality of food. The chicken on the gyro salad was store bought rotisserie chicken that they just shredded up. Didn't even cook it there! I got French fries instead of rice and it was cooked in old oil. Wasn't edible. My friend got her food first and the lady gave a different customer my food so by the time my friend was done I got my food and I had paid for extra tzatziki and had to go back and ask for it.All in all if you do decide to eat here stick with their wrapped gyros and go with the gyro meat.I will never come back here.

First off, I do not like giving low ratings. I gave myself time to cool down as this was a confusing trip to Nick the Greeks. Wait for the magic show, people! Placed an order for 3 Greek yogurts at 2:04pm. Checked to see if order was called after a while, as it wasn't busy (3 tables, 4 ifyou count the table putside with the couple). The cashier (I'm assuming Abigail, the name is on receipt) said that the order isn't ready so I took a seat on the bar height table to wait nearby. Noticed 2 patrons placed orders for yogurt afterwards as well. Then a few mins later, was told that I would be getting a refund because "the cook checked and the shipment just came. And it would take 2 hours for yogurt to be ready". Was offered a refund and can come back later but I don't reside in Ventura so I declined it and asked for a refund. Meanwhile, the patron after me received her yogurt. (WTH?!) I asked why would you accept my order if you didn't have yogurt in the first place? Why did my time have to be wasted? I could've gone to another establishment that didn't have to take over 15 mins! Another cashier was there so we gave her the card to be refunded then said, "it's OK". What did you mean by that? Magically, yogurts were FINALLY appearing!!!! How did that happen suddenly when I was just told literally a few mins ago that it would take 2 hours and that I would be refunded? I placed the orders for my kids and while they enjoyed the yogurt, service was not an experience I would like to encounter in the future. 2 stars for great location and offering great food. 2nd cashier was much more pleasant to deal with, however, can't say the same for the first one I had to deal with.

The place was pretty empty for a Saturday lunch. The seating are was clean and the cashier was polite. I ordered the gyro plate which was $18. The salad came out first had already soaked through the container with dressing. It didn't taste bad though. The fries were fresh cuts and reminded me of In-n-Out. The was good. The food was good not great, but no complaints.

The food was decent and the local location is good. It is not my go to place but I'd go again.

We attended a Greek festival near my old high school and had the food there this past august. Since then we've been looking for a place with a good gyro and this place hit the spot! It was so good and exactly what we were looking for. We've tried other places and this one comes closest to the one we had prior. It is so good and I didn't mind the tzatziki sauce at all. We enjoyed everything! Not to mention, the cashier was very patient with us. We came in about an hour before closing and she was very patient with us. We still tried to get in and out quick but she didn't seem to mind. Love this place, just wish there was one closer to us!

I hate giving this restaurant a bad review because I really like it- it's in a great location in downtown Ventura and all of my prior experiences here have been good. But this past visit was disappointing, I don't know maybe it was just due to the young kid working in the kitchen. The quality was really lacking. I think the kitchen wanted to close early the night I was there, they had taken the beef/lamb gyro off the rotating grill then when customers began showing up they had to restart the grill so the meals were delayed by a good 15 minutes. Also, the rice was very unsatisfactory it was in one big sticky clump sort of like a hard golf ball. The woman at the cash register was very kind, efficient, and apologetic. I think her name was Haley but not sure.

The food is so good! Fresh and delicious. Miley who was working was very kind and gave great service! The chicken is killer. They kill it

Over $13 for a chicken gyro that I would've needed three to feel fulfilled from. Maybe if it were $8 I could justify it but that was absurd.

Such quick and delicious Greek food, fast casual vibe, friendly service and healthy portions with a reasonable price! I recommend the beef/lamb gyro bowl it was 10/10. You also can't go wrong with this walkable area!

i enjoy nick the greek, the lamb is so tender and pitas taste so fresh. but the 5 stars is credited to that greek yogurt with honey and baklava...I DREAMMM of this dessert. it is so so yummy, even the most harsh ice cream lovers have agreed with me on this one!!

Not one to leave negative reviews but tho the food I've had there is decent enough, the service always is lacking. I placed a to go order for a dinner plate that has salad snd rice and meat and pita triangles and a dip, but was not given silverware again. Was not provided a salad dressing cuz I asked for it in the side cuz last time it was waaay too much dressing on the salad. Last time they gave me fries which were cold and soggy instead of the salad tho I ordered the salad. The food was cold. It seems every time I order food from here it's never right. With all the amazing options downtown for lunch, I will not be coming here again. I spent $22. I could have gotten much better for the same price at Taj or Rice or Ko Ramen or Busy Bee
