We had to wait about 20 minutes to sit down but Pete's is in a cute street with plenty to see and check out.We ordered the huevos rancheros- good but nothing extraordinary. And of course the stuffed pancake. Wow! It's huge but not overly filing. The yogurt is light and the pancake is fluffy so we didn't leave feeling weighed down. The fresh fruit and granola really made the dish!

Go now. Ended up here by accident. I was driving up the 101 and my wife searched to find breakfast as we approached Ventura. Reviews were good, so we tried it. Looks average from the outside, but it's definitely among the top ten diner style breakfast places I've ever visited (I've visited thousands because I used to be chef/owner at a popular Philadelphia diner). Could not have been happier. I rarely visit Ventura, but any time I'm nearby, I'll try to have breakfast here. Go now. Seriously, stop reading this and go.

I was disappointed that my pancake roll covered in yogurt and their great homemade granola was actually burnt in the center. I thought it was a little dark to begin with but they were busy and I didn't want to waste food. That pancake should not have made it on any plate. I've had the pancake roll there several times and this has never been an issue.

Wonderful food with so many choices. Interior is a little dated with a too-small space for how many people are wanting to get

If you are looking for a good place to have breakfast look no further. Petes is always filled with consumers just showing how good they must be. The staff are right there if you need anything. As fat as the food goes, the biskets and gravy are so good that you will be asking for more. The gravy is a sausage gravy that is paired with biskets that are cooked just right. The chili verde omelet is just the right spiciness that everyone is bound to like it.Pete and Lindsey, keep up the amazing service, you are amazing addition to Ventura.

One of the best, if not the best, breakfast houses in Ventura County. Everything is rich in flavor from the toast, the juices, and the food.My go to is their breakfast burrito. Always packed to the brim with flavorful meat & always seasoned perfectly. They also offer a spicy habenero salsa on the side which is the perfect balance of heat and flavor. One of the best spots to go to that I've experienced. Also the patio is dog friendly so you can bring the pups along for the meal ?

Went solo on a cool Saturday morning, Pete's was a casual, cozy breakfast spot with some of the best ratings in town. Not a lot of indoor seating but tons more outside and you can bring your check up front to pay so that keeps people moving through pretty fast. I had no wait but it did take a little bit to get my server, I think the busy period was just getting started and they were totally apologetic and cool about it. The iced tea was flavorful and delicious enough it merits mentioning, not watered down and really tastes like tea. My corned beef hash plate and biscuit and gravy side came out sooo fast and man it was amazing. Their corned beef hash is house made with salty tender shreds of crispy beef and pieces of potato, the eggs were a perfect soft scramble and the hash browns are well seasoned and crisp. The biscuit and gravy was pillowy, salted well, and delicious but not mind blowing, super solid. All of this huge feast was only $20! Upscale cafe quality with dinner hospitality and prices, would've been worth a wait and I'm craving that iced tea and corned beef hash. They also use pepper plant hot sauce by default on the table which is such a great product.Parking: They have a modest parking lot that I was able to get a last spot in around 8am, but as they started getting busier it was getting full. There is nearby street parking seconds away and with the turnover it should be easy to find a spot.

This place is awesome! Always love coming here. Corn beef hash was exceptional. Other in our group loved their pancake roll. Service is pretty friendly and on time. We didn't wait long for anything. Their was a wait time for a party of four but it wasn't that long of a wait, totally worth it. We sat on the patio which was comfortable, if you get cold easily may have a light jacket. We all enjoyed the food and service, highly recommended.
