I want to give this place a better review since it's the closest poke place near me and I go all the time but every time is more disappointing than the last. They are always running out of items and they are very expensive. Every employee anytime i ask for extra it's either $2 more or I'm not allowed because they are running low. I understand the proteins being extra but for onions or corn is extra as well. I'm surprised they are running low because they are very stingy. The workers are always nice and the food is alright but overall not worth the money anymore. I rather just drive to Camarillo at this point.

Came back here two years later and its worse than what it was in 2022.For a bowl that is about $20, with half of the items being out of stock. Yet they still charge full price. Staff are slow, and when you ask them questions, they are slow to respond. They also have a yelp offer that they dont honor. The staff said that the owner does not honors it, and when you contact the owner via message, he says he does so who knows who is not saying the truth.Definitely wont be back ever again for mediocre food and slow staff and overpriced items.

The fish was actually very fresh on a Wednesday and tasted good, and whoever served me gave me a lot of food for the price of a $16 small bowl. However, the pickled ginger and wasabi was clearly made with a lot of artificial dyes and for the price, I probably won’t be back.

Stopped by to pick up a bowl with my daughter, and the father and son team behind the counter were great. We joked about the small portion ( medium size fed two of us with leftovers). Very fresh tuna and perfect rice. All the added sides made the bowl weigh at least 2 pounds. Great stop if you’re in the area.Parking: In Lowes center, plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA ramps available right in front of store.

Awesome employees and I love coming here to pick up some poke for a really good price! Employees are so nice and sweet, I really recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal of poke :DEdit: I went recently and the prices have changed a lot now, for two medium poke bowls it comes out to almost/more than 40$, it also doesn't come with the mochi and/or the macaroons and a soda like how it use to. (I ordered for pickup)

Way overpriced! There was an older couple working the counter, the male was wearing filthy clothes like he'd been working on a car all day, they were both very awkward seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Started out with a weird vibe, but I decided to just do it anyway and got a few bowls to go. The food was terrible. Rice was mushy, "fresh" fish was not fresh and had a mushy texture as well. The sauces tasted watered down. I took two bites and couldn't eat anymore, something wasn't right and I didn't want to risk getting sick. $39 for two bowls that we had to throw away. Avoid

This place is fantastic! Kathy is the one who makes it special. She is very friendly and personable and gives great recommendations on menu selection. Highly recommend!

The staff seemed really out of it when we ordered. They weren't really paying attention when we walked in, and there were no other customers at the time. We ordered 2 medium bowls and our total was around $45. I didn't see any prices listed by the menu so I was quite surprised by that total. When they rang us up on the iPad, the woman did not remove her gloves. She flipped the iPad around t for me to select the tip amount and I was really put off -- the screen was caked with food and sticky streaks. So much so that fingers became sticky when I pressed the prompts. I am floored that these employees did not remove their soiled gloves when going between the iPad and serving food. I wonder how many dirty customer fingers go between the iPad and the employees gloves which are directly handling our food. We were both so bothered by how unsanitary their practices are that we barely touched our food. We ended up throwing out the food and going somewhere else. So that's $45 down the drain.Edit: time frame was 7:15-7:30 on 8/18/23.

No Poke shop in Ventura even comes close. I live within walking distance from Poke Rainbow and I'm glad that I do. When you first walk in you'll notice how neat and tidy the business is. Next you'll see the menu on the left wall. You can choose from a small, medium, or large. The small is two scoops of protein, the medium is three scoops, and so on. The toppings are unlimited which is absolutely amazing (because we all know the others will charge the arm and leg for toppings). The business is family owned and operated which makes me love it even more. The owner and his son are both very friendly and have great customer service. I'm very big on customer service since I also work in customer service. They will make suggestions that fit your pallet. I will be going back on a regular basis. Thank you for the amazing food, you can taste the passion and passion in every piec

Got there 30 minutes before closing time. A bunch of items on the menu were out. The guy working there was noticeably tired but he did his best, explained the options, offered substitutes for the missing items. The amount of fish was better than at other places in Ventura but the overall taste was a bit weird. May give it another chance, but a no go overall. On the pricey side.

More like 2.5 stars. I've had Poke Rainbow a couple times, even when they first opened. But the last time I came was subpar with the food and service, the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gotten way higher. $15 for the smallest size and the small is sooo tiny. I mostly come here for the macaron ice cream. Also, the quality of fish isn't that great, so I don't think I'll come back again any time soon.

The portions have gone down, prices have gone up which is to be expected. But $20 for 6 pieces of ahi tuna and a scoop of spicy tuna? No seaweed salad. No spring mix. No wasabi. Not all the dry toppings available. No apology for out of stock items. I was so looking forward to the meal and was extremely disappointed. I do not know if I'll be back again.

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt and another try after both my husband and I got sick the last time we ate from this establishment. So this used to be our go to poke spot but man has it started to go downhill. First, the prices are a bit steep. We paid $35 for a small and medium bowl which is the same we could've paid for 2 to sit at a restaurant and eat. Then, the tuna looked like it had been sitting out for awhile. As soon as we walked in we could smell a strong cigarette scent. The man and lady that helped us both had their hair down and only baseball caps on. (This isn't going to keep hair out of our food.) Then as the man was closing up my container I seen his fingernails!! They were full of dirt! We won't be returning for a good while if ever.
