It's Rubios, a Mexican fast food chain, with a taco shop style. They're known for their fish tacos which are small, crispy and decent enough for them to grow their chain on. Personally I go for their asada steak California burrito, and drowned it with their hot sauce. I've tried all the salsas in their salsa bar and none of them disappointed. This particular rubios has a bleach smell to it, and the parking lot is littered with transients and sketchy recently released from county characters, so not the best area. Well that's this critic's review.

I've ordered take out from Rubio's on Victoria in Montalvo and find their service is great and their staff friendly. I like their fish taco plates and their healthy bowls. Prices are reasonable. This restaurant is always clean when I've visited. I will be back!

Long day at the beach, good god... so you can imagine I'd be hungry. I walked in ready to eat a whale, and this mf Ricardo hooked me up. He's a great employee, very insightful. He was quick, you could name a country and he'd name the capital before anyone blinked. At the least, he deserves a 50¢ raise. Thank you Rubio's

It was my first time coming to this Rubios location. I love Rubios but I did not love this location. I had the Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito but the shrimp tasted undercooked. My burrito was also served cold. Each order does come with chips and they do have a large selection of sauces. Some of the sauces looked as if they had been sitting all day without being maintained throughout the day.
