We used to love this place. Probably spent thousands of dollars through the years, but now this place just lost its touch. The bartenders are just rude and don't do good customer service any more. The last few times we came here, the bartender just ignored us and continued to talking to their friends. One time my husband thought the beer was off and told the bartender, she told him that's just how "beers" tastes. My husband drinks the same beer all the time and knows his beer. The least you can do is to check it or give him another one but no, since she's busy with her friend, she just shove my husband off her busy day. Well that was the last chance, we told our friends and family never to go to this place. Also will be telling everyone else how this place is a waste of money.

This place is racist. I went on a karaoke night, put my song in around 10, and they never played my song but played other people multiple times. A clear bias to locals. When dancing, an older man turned around to make a pig nose at me. I am Asian. I was the only Asian person in the room. The same guy then came up behind me randomly at some point in the night and tried touching my chest, but I repositioned myself so he could only touch my shoulders. Some women in the crowd were friendly, but it seemed like it was heavily biased to the local white people and they did not like outsiders. This place could do better to be more inclusive. I've never had a bad experience in Ventura until last night.

Bummer the saloon remove their vegan menu. Went here for a late night cocktail, the bartenders couldn't care less about our small party of two. We sat at the bar, barely looked at us, put a drink in front of us and walked away. This place sucks now.

This is our favorite place to grab a quick drink. We always sit in "our spot" under the neon sign in the back to people watch. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. The interior is very relaxed. If you are looking for a quiet place to chill and grab a drink this is the spot. I haven't looked at the menu in while, but I remember what vegan items we did have were all good and we enjoyed them a lot.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of how hard they have tried to keep up with some disgusting folks in our community. I heard recently that the reason they stopped serving their amazing vegan food was because of the hate and threats they were receiving from the community in the way of emails, etc. Seriously?! Vegan food offends you thattttt much that you had to ruin a great thing for the rest of us?! Sheesh. You need help. Anyway... I'd just like to say I love the drinks and vibe here (when it's not overly crowded). The service is always great and the food was spectacular when it was vegan. I'm not so sure now as that was my main draw. I've posted pics of the amazing food we lost here in Ventura. I hope some people are proud of themselves for harassing this business so much that they had to shift their menu model to please you! How sick and sad! Truly a cool place in Ventura. I'm so sad to see the power trolls can have over a gem like this. Cheers to continued success :)People upset about the "loyalty" factor because this place had to adjust the model from being vegan: blame the lack of small business support! The community did this!

Upbeat atmosphere, good drink selection for every tastebud. During the day this is a great brunch spot to hangout and grab a drink or bites. At night, if you're trying to dance and vibe out this is the spot! They usually will have a DJ on weekend nights to keep the moves flowing. The bartenders and staff are all nice and service is timely.

Walked in during happy hour on Wednesday, March 28 a little bit busy Alfie is the bartender, who was alone, and immediately greeted us, took a moment to let us sit down on the couch, invited our dog to stay with us. The service was great, atmosphere was wonderful. Food was delicious and the Negroni cocktails were perfect. Such a wonderful day at the beach finished at the Saloon. Perfect.
