I wasn't prepared for the professional feel of The Taco Shops (TTS) kitchen--wish I had pictures. They appear to take their work very serious.On our journey back south from Solvang we stumbled across this gem located in Ventura. We were looking for a good breakfast burrito on our way home. I have to have refried beans on my breakfast burritos. We must have found half a dozen taco shops before TTS that either only had black beans or didn't say they had refried beans on their menus. Then we found the trifecta! The TTS breakfast burrito. This burrito is made with fresh made scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese, sausage, bacon, and chorizo !!! I added my refried beans of course . Each of our burritos came with a perfect portion of fresh tortilla chips and the choice of either mild or hot salsa. The only foul I'm calling is the use of french fries for potatoes. I would expect better from the cooks cooking in the kitchen I saw.Someone please bring a TTS to the Murrieta/Temecula area!

Used to go to the Oxnard location but they closed. Always got the asada tacos with salsa verde and horchata. Recently doordashed from this location in Ventura and tried other menu items. Got the TTS Fries, Burrito California, & 3 Taco Combo. TTS fries had asada, nacho cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeños, & crema on skinny fries. It was pretty good with lots of flavor. just wish it had guacamole! 8/10 Burrito California had asada, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, cheese, & crema. Burrito was massive and came packed with flavor. Topped with salsa verde. 10/10Asada tacos came with rice and beans. Tacos were perfect with lime and salsa verde. I think it was missing the grilled onions and jalapeños.Rice and beans were too salty on their own. Tacos 9/10 RB 4/10

I saw him bringing food with another customer to their car, along with pointing out there's a cash discount. It takes some time since it's made to order but if it was nearby, I'd definitely eat here more often.I ordered an asada torta and subbed the chips with fries. It was a good size and the fries reminded me of McDonald's. I'd assume their California burrito is probably really good with fries like this. I also asked for a side of salsa and got both their red and green to try. I like the green more. It was really tasty with the torta!Support this local gem!

My mother was happy with her asada torta and my dad was happy with his carnitas burrito, they are both very hard to please ? the tamales were delicious and the rajas burritos were very Satisfying and flavorful. The pumpkin horchata was also delicious, a new favorite!Vegetarian options: It was nice that they use whole beans in the vegetarian options, some place use refried beans with lard in vegetarian options.

What a find! The surf n turf taco is off the hook delicious!!! amazing grilled onions on the side of the carne asada tacos which were also superb. All the food is very clean and not greasy. It feels like you are entering another world coming in here. Magical Christmas decorations and adorable styling like a true boutique eatery. Ferrero Frappe in the photo. My husband loves it. Too sweet for me but anyone who likes sweets will be a happy camper. Such friendly service! This will be a new go-to for sure.
