This place is bomb, the tacos are really good. I recommend the pastor and the tripas. I like my tripas made crunchy so I asked them and it came out soo good. They make handmade tortillas and hot sauce is really good nice and spicy n.n

My son was craving fruit picado, and fruit vendors weren't out on the streets due to extreme winds.. so I found this spot. Pretty cool, because it takes me back to SD.. on one side, strictly food(Mexican) and on the other side(all the goodies)!! Paletas (fresh-real ice cream) made with real fruit that's visible and they have scoops, elotes! And more. Very reasonable on price.. I'll be back for sure! (For my son of course)..

Went again not too long ago and I must say their costumer service has improved. Not the same employee much better friendlier makes everybody feel welcome. Also, started trying their pAletas de fruta and they are delicious!

Paleta's who doesn't love them! I just happen to notice this place while driving down the road and stopped in to see what they had, it's a typical Mexican Paleteria that not only offers Paletas but Nieve (that's ice cream for you Gabacho's) Raspado's, Bionico's, Tostiloco's, Elote y Mas! A typical Mexican Paleta comes in a variety of flavors using fresh fruit, they are also made Two ways, Agua/Water or Leche/Milk, the agua being fresher tasting and the leche being creamier tasting. Paleta de Guayaba/Leche ($1.75) Wonderful creamy Guava flavor with nice chunks of guava pieces... watch out for those seeds!

They use their bare hands to cut the fruits and scoop it into the bowl. If they weren't going to use gloves she could of at least washed her hands before handling ready to serve food

They cut and scoop the fruit with their bare hands!!. Didn't say anything so I just paid and just threw the food away because I couldn't bring myself to call her out on a major error. If they don't use gloves to handle ready to serve food, she could of at least washed her hands!

Had the Jamaica Raspado today, a lil strong, but good. Hit the spot and not expensive. All the ice cream, fruit and paletas looked really good too. I'm going to have to come back and try other stuff. Great stop. Update July 2, 2014: I feel like I was discriminated here today because I am of Hispanic decent but don't speak Spanish. I ordered a drink and it was given to me incomplete but my Spanish speaking friend's was perfect. The older gentleman working there clearly does not care for non spanish speaking customers and its unfortunate. The error was fixed by another employee and my drink was great but the whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth. I probably wont be back.

I have gone to Neils amazing Donuts next door and would have never even seen this place was it not for the great Yelp reviews. Finally, a warm pre-spring sunday afteroon I was in the area and stopped in. I saw them making the huge fruit cups and was temoted to ordedr one. It was a fat box chock full of different freshly cut fruits, vanilla sauce, nuts, coconut, I couldn't even keep up witha ll she was packing on there but it was fat and only $5. We kept it plain and simple a strawberry fruit bar for me and a scoop of cookies and cream for the kid, $1 each. My fruit bar, amazing, literally a big popsicle made out of sliced strawberrys, sweet, healthy, delicious! My sons oreo was a bit too watery but full of pretty much full sized oreos, well worth the buck. The place isn't much of a looker but I happily support family run businesses, they work their butts off with about 20 flavors of fresh fruit or milk based bars and ice creams. I will be back for more for sure, summers just about to get started!

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this place. I happened to stumble on this place because I just noticed the big sign that said PALETAS (frozen fruit bars)and I wanted something sweet. However, when my wife and I went in, we noticed the small restaurant attached so we decided to get something to eat first. I ordered the Camarones (Shrimp) a la Diabla (Spicy red sauce) and my wife ordered the taco and enchilada plate. The place didn't look like much so I wasn't expecting anything great, but just your usual Mexican food. Man was I surprised in a GREAT way (and this doesn't happen often) IT WAS AN EXPLOTION OF FLAVOR IN MY MOUTH!!!...lol. The Shrimp were cooked perfectly but the most amazing thing was the spicy red sauce that the shrimp were swimming in. I could not get enough of that sauce even though it was very spicy, (and I eat Siracha sauce straight from the bottle) I don't know what they put in this sauce but I mixed it with my rice and my beans, it was very very delicious. The beans were also very good as well as the homemade tortilla. My wife also enjoyed her dish, but she could not eat my shrimp as it was too hot for her. They also have a delicious salsa bar. I highly recommend this small restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but the food is delicious. In regards to the desert side, I don't think I ordered the correct item. I ordered a RASPADO (Shaved Ice). I have had better raspados. The texture was more of a slushy than a shaved ice. Also, the Nuez (Nut) flavor was sort of watery. I expected it to be more creamy. I should have ordered a paleta or a ice cream, they looked delicious. Overall, you can't go wrong eating at this place. Next time I will order a bucket of that shrimp to take home.

The Arroz con Leche popsicle is out of this world delicious!

This place is an oasis of deliciousness. The selection is tremendous with enough flavors for the timid to be safe, while still accommodating those willing to branch out. The Ice cream (Nieves) is creamy, rich, and tasty without being too sweet. The Popsicle-like frozen fruit bars (Paletas) are of the chart awesome. Beware, some are a bit unique -- for instance the guava contains lots of seeds and may not be the best bet for a first-timer. There are additional treats, which I have yet to try. Don't let this place stay a secret. Go. Now.
