The restaurant looks nice but that's all your paying for. For the price of the food you would expect it to be the best but it was one of the worst Japanese restaurants I've been to in terms of flavor and quality. The teriyaki tasted burnt but they said it's supposed to taste like that. If so, then their standards for teriyaki are low. The tempura was soggy and the fried rice was good but was not worth the extra $5 sub. Overall the price did not match the quality of the food.

They can be very busy sometimes, so it gets pretty loud. We go here for the tepanyaki otherwise avoid the seated table. Service is very lacking as they prioritize the people on the Tepanyaki tables. But the food is great and the service is a hit and miss type of thing. My kids love feeding the Koi fishes afterwards.

I feel like they've gotten kind of complacent. It used to be a lot nicer / cleaner and food seemed like it was far more fresh than it was when we visited.

Staff was very polite & happy. Our teppanyaki chef was excellent! He entertained the kids & his food was delicious ? Our granddaughter was treated to birthday ice cream & a song compliments of Tokyo Garden.Kid-friendliness: Our grandkids enjoyed the chef's attention & food. They are 10 & 7. Both ate their veggies!

Food was outstanding, but pricy, customer service was okay nothing bad or good just okay, and the outside atmosphere was better than the inside in my opinion, overall though the food was great service and atmosphere were okay or good.

Was our first visit. Will definitely return. They were not lying about the nuclear roll being hot.
The sushi is very delicious. A little expensive but personally I think it's worth it. Perfect for special occasions.

Miso soup, no flavor, salad dressing tasted old, rice undercooked, steak (more like carne asada), teriyaki sauce had texture of cheap gel. The plastic squeeze bottles the cooks had looked old and unwashed since who knows when. OVERPRICED, for poor quality food. Overall, it’s a zero for me

The sushi was fantastic! Service was great, waitresses kept checking on us and filled beverages. The atmosphere was very relaxing by the koi pond. Going back!!

Recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Chefs are great and they always give you a surprise dish. My go to for sushi in Visalia.
Went there for a friend's birthday party. There was a party of thirty , and the lady was really rude , but the hostess was really
