Reviews are low, but the food itself is very good. For being a chain restaurant, the gyudon (beef slices) were very tender and nice. I also really enjoyed the gyoza sauce. I like spicy things but the Hanabi hot was not great, it is kind of like gochujang + sriracha. Shichimi or ichimi is better (cayenne or 7 spice powder). The reviews are probably for the service. Was not great. Front counter was not friendly, and had to ask for gyoza sauce and for chopsticks. But food was good, and affordable so will give 4 stars.

Yoshinoya is consistently good. The original gyudon beef is lighter & probably healthier than the standard sauce heavy beef teriyaki bowls. They've added a few different spicy proteins as well as salmon. Lightly seasoned steam veggies are available as a no cost side. The menu includes an interesting mix of items such as clam chowder, coleslaw & flan as a dessert item. The restaurant is always clean, organized and comfortable. The staff is always cheerful and courteous! Yoshinoya is one of my go to restaurants when I'm in the mood for... something but I can't decide. I mean, where else can you get flan with your hanabi hot grilled chicken?

I did not enjoy the food here the beef was like rubber and the chicken was very tough. The rice was ok but it was a little hard would definitely not here again.

The food is great. They always cook it well and the orders are always well packed. There is a worker there named Amanda. I think thats her name. Her bubbly and sweet personality is what drives me back to this place. If only all of her coworkers were like her. The male cooks and servers are very nice as well. the place is overall good.

My husband is from Hawaii and we love Japanese food. We avoided trying this place until today, because we had a coupon we thought we'd try it. There was no line outside or really anyone inside considering it was shortly after lunchtime. We decided to try the original beef and grilled steak. I don't know what Gyudon beef is, but my husband said it was the worst beef he ever ate. My grilled steak was far from tender and seemed like the sauce was too oily. As for the customer service in the drive though, I'd say they were less than friendly. No pictures, but they wouldn't help. Like many cases for fast food...been there, done that, never again.

Grilled Teriyaki was all fat and grist. The grilled meat was terrible over half ineadible Asked for rice got noodles. The spring rolls were ok. The vegetables were bland. I will never go back.

If you've never been to a yoshinoya then you may not understand the food and it's flavor so it may not be for everyone's taste buds. It's your typical fast food yoshinoya joint. We've never had issues with our food here or service, we normally stick to our usual beef bowl because we are creature of habits and never try anything new but it's always been consistent so no complaints here. I am just glad Central Valley is getting more and more food options other than the typical burger and taco joints.

Taste like a microwaved frozen dinner. $15 a meal and food is not worth the price! Should have checked the reviews. Lesson learned.

I wasn't feeling so well so my hubby went to get me a bowl and even surprised me with some shrimp on side ! When he brought it home the food wasn't not good at all ! The bowl was extremely skimpy .The shrimp tasted like old oil and old breaded shrimp that had been warmed back up . I am not a picky eater but the food was not good ! I was excited to give this place business since it's never packed but now I know why ! Hopefully the quality goes up .

If meh was food they would serve it here. It was on par with something from the feeezer section, at the super market. Low quality, orange chicken was soggy, and I couldn't even tell what I was eating calling it "steak" is a stretch. Edible I guess, but not healthy, and not good.

Service was friendly and fast however portion sizes were small and the orange chicken didn't have enough sauce. I've been here before and I didn't have an issue with this however maybe they were trying to hand out the order fast. Might come back, but might stick with Panda Express instead if there's another issue.

Why doesn't the health department shut this place down? With the exception of the bland steamed vegetables, it's simply not food. Everything comes in the form of a soggy salt soup. Do you like pickled flour with salty slime? It's like play dough and packing foam shaped like food swimming in colors of cornstarch goo. it's a gastronomical apocalypse for $10 a styrofoam plate handed to you by a clinically depressed 20 year old. & Japanese?! Come on now. This is as Japanese as carne asada fries. I would not feed this filth to a starving dog.

The rice is so disgusting and hard and that ugly bitter taste of the orange chicken basically a taste of dish water I had never had a bad experience with Yoshinoya in the LA area but man this is so bad. I would not recommend it.
