Food was great, as i remember from being a kid. Staff however was rude and unprofessional. They definitely deserve $22 per hour.

Drive through combo beef and chicken. Styrofoam box of dogfood. Nasty overcooked vegetables. Stringy overcooked grey beef. Tastless greasy chicken. Greasy spring rolls filled with same nasty cooked cabbage. Even the rice and noodles were not cooked correctly. Almost $15. Had to throw the whole thing out! (Pepsi was okay, with excess ice)

Big disappointment. The beef was ...like nothing I ever ate before. Not sure it was really beef! Orange chicken was good. Pot stickers were tastless. I doubt I would ever go back. I ived in Japan...this food is a poor REPRESENTATION of Japanese food.

The clam chowder is surprisingly decent and the bowls were great. I’ve been looking for a fast-casual place like this for a while.

Reviews are low, but the food itself is very good. For being a chain restaurant, the gyudon (beef slices) were very tender and nice. I also really enjoyed the gyoza sauce. I like spicy things but the Hanabi hot was not great, it is kind of like gochujang + sriracha. Shichimi or ichimi is better (cayenne or 7 spice powder). The reviews are probably for the service. Was not great. Front counter was not friendly, and had to ask for gyoza sauce and for chopsticks. But food was good, and affordable so will give 4 stars.

Yoshinoya is consistently good. The original gyudon beef is lighter & probably healthier than the standard sauce heavy beef teriyaki bowls. They've added a few different spicy proteins as well as salmon. Lightly seasoned steam veggies are available as a no cost side. The menu includes an interesting mix of items such as clam chowder, coleslaw & flan as a dessert item. The restaurant is always clean, organized and comfortable. The staff is always cheerful and courteous! Yoshinoya is one of my go to restaurants when I'm in the mood for... something but I can't decide. I mean, where else can you get flan with your hanabi hot grilled chicken?

I've noticed the lack of customers but I thought... What the heck, I'd give it a try. I will never go again. Let me be frank, I would not have served the beef side they gave me to an animal. I had the impression that they were trying to offload old meat. The 'orange chicken' was fine, but I was given only three pieces. The flan comes in its original packaging, it's not made there. For the price, they must be joking. As for just taste and quality, the bottom of the barrel has been scraped.

I did not enjoy the food here the beef was like rubber and the chicken was very tough. The rice was ok but it was a little hard would definitely not here again.

The food is great. They always cook it well and the orders are always well packed. There is a worker there named Amanda. I think thats her name. Her bubbly and sweet personality is what drives me back to this place. If only all of her coworkers were like her. The male cooks and servers are very nice as well. the place is overall good.

Fryer was broken so half the food you could not get. Also nothing more than a combo two meal deal. if you're trying to feed a family of 3 or more, this may not be the place for you. It wasn't for me.

Orange chicken, okay. Rice was wet and undercooked. Beef, compared to Tokyo or L.A., not delicious but bland and water soaked.

My husband is from Hawaii and we love Japanese food. We avoided trying this place until today, because we had a coupon we thought we'd try it. There was no line outside or really anyone inside considering it was shortly after lunchtime. We decided to try the original beef and grilled steak. I don't know what Gyudon beef is, but my husband said it was the worst beef he ever ate. My grilled steak was far from tender and seemed like the sauce was too oily. As for the customer service in the drive though, I'd say they were less than friendly. No pictures, but they wouldn't help. Like many cases for fast food...been there, done that, never again.
