My mother in law wanted to come here because she loves this place. We came on a Saturday, so my wife could get Menudo (they only sell menudo on weekends) They didn't have any so my wife didn't order for herself. The cashier taking her order was young, rude, and with a seemingly bothered attitude.I got a sprite and when I tasted it, it tasted like straight carbonation. I went back up to the front and asked nicely if I could get a different drink and the lady took it from me, dumped it out, and refilled it with sprite again, and lo and behold, it still tastes bad. The tables are wobbly, and sticky. The food was subpar, meat was very dry. They got my mother in laws order wrong as well. this place is a 3/10 at best.

I go here regularly and this place always delivers an awesome carne asada. They make their own gorditas ( not anything like a taco bell product!) And they do huaraches, nopalitos, and a wonderful authentic menu with lots of affordable choices. Great value for kids meals.

Our family were vacationing at Carlsbad and wanted Mexican food, my daughter who lives in San Marcos recommended getting authentic Mexican food in Vista, so I did a search on yelp and found this restaurant. We got our food Togo and we were impressed with everything we got.

Stopped here on the way to Moonlight Amphitheater on Friday. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I ordered the chicken rolled tacos and they were very good. Not so much a fan of their guacamole though. This place was pretty quiet for a Friday evening. There were a couple other people seated in the restaurant. A great place to come and enjoy a peaceful meal.

There are many Mexican restaurants on South Sante Fe in Vista but this one is by far my favorite. Corn quesadillas, corn gorditas, chicken tacos... everything is good here. I've been going here for 15+ years and have never been disappointed. The rice AND the beans are great. Always friendly staff too.
