I was introduced to Burmese when I lived in Burlingame, CA. Mingalaba is an outstanding standard of comparison. I have tried other places but they were average. HOWEVER...BURMA UNIQUE is legitimately delicious and authentic. A must culinary experience in Walnut Creek. There is something for everyone here. Enjoy!

Very expensive. I ordered the Garlic noodles & pumpkin curry, it cost $22. The curry taste ok but I didn't really like the garlic noodles. Also no free parking close by & when I went in the guy decided to take a phone order before assisting me & I was already in the restaurant waiting, rude & bad customer service.

The food was excellent but the whole experience of picking it up frustrated me to the point of where I'd hesitate to come again. Ordering was a breeze and I was quoted 20 minutes for it to be ready. An hour and a half later it still wasn't ready. Every time I asked the manager for a status, I was told "5 more minutes." If I was given a realistic wait time I'd be more forgiving. Maybe they have better service for in person dining. For now, avoid it for take out. It's not worth the aggravation or wait times. In the hour plus I waited around with several other customers, only one of the other parties received their food-other customers were just waiting around being told the same thing "5 more minutes." Did a phone order take out for dinner on a weekday and food was ready in 20 min. We ordered their tea leaf salad, garlic noodle, burma unique shrimp and palat. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome even though we are only picking up an order. and was delighted to find out that our order qualifies for a free samosa appetizer. We enjoyed every dish and our favorite was the garlic noodle and the burma unique shrimp. The shrimp plate was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Can't wait to come back for their other dishes!

This place is amazing! We came here because we wanted Le Cheval... sadly they closed. So we decided to try this place. Best decision! We ordered the samosas, mango tofu, shrimp curry, sesame fried chicken, and a couple orders of brown rice. The gentleman that took our order was super polite, we got disconnected and he called us back for our order, our food was ready on time, AND he gave us an extra order of samosas and a milk tea on the house due to our order size. Overall, really happy we found this place. I will surely return for the great service and good food.

This is our go to spot in Walnut Creek. Always been a fan of Burmese food and I think we found our favorite one. I love lamb and they had the black pepper lamb dish and omg, the sauce was tasty and the lamb was perfect. It wasn't gamey at all, the lamb was tender, honestly thought it was beef at first. We also had the garlic noodle and Burma pad Thai, and gotta say, both dishes were amazing. Plus, these guys pack a lot of food, so be ready to be fed!

Did takeout for my sister's birthday and was surprised to find a free appetizer included because I had mentioned the birthday. I love their Chicken Pumpkin stew and my sister loves the Shan Shrimp Lettuce Wrap so we order it each time, along with the Coconut Rice. We also ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken and Pad Thai with shrimp and each was full of flavor with tender pieces of chicken and fresh tasty shrimp. Each dish was generous in the proportion so we have leftovers to continue to enjoy their fine cooking. I do miss the ambience of the restaurant inside and hope we will be able to stay for a meal in the near future. If you want a tasty step up from Chinese food, this is the place.

How I miss eating in this beautifully appointed restaurant with sublime food & friendly/knowledgeable staff. Burma Unique is a culinary treasure for the senses. Take-out last night was nothing short of a banquet. Since Pandemic, Burma Unique has not lost its skills and dedication to serving great, great flavor-packed food. We're ordering take-out again -- soon. Thank you, Burma Unique.

I have been coming here since they opened and figured it was time to post a review. This place is SO GOOD. I have been a fan of getting Burmese food at Burma Superstar in Oakland for awhile now and when this place opened, I was so excited. In my opinion it tastes just as good as the one in Oakland without the 45+ minute long wait and $$$$ prices. I have tried so many dishes from here and it is delicious every single time. They really know what they are doing, AND they have awesome promotion deals all the time!!! Must get items: -TEA LEAF SALAD. I have never ordered from here without getting this dish. -Palata dip appetizer. This is my partner's favorite dish of all time. -Samosas -Burmese pad Thai -string bean and tofu chicken -chicken kebat -Burma unique shrimp -broccoli and garlic -COCONUT RICE!!!! This place is amazing. They have never let me down. Enough said.

In the area visiting. Friendly staff, delicious food! I got noodles, curry, and tea leaf salad. Portions were very solid, and pickup was safely done as it was off hours and everyone was wearing a mask. Admittedly I have never had Burmese food so no context on the authenticity but would come back again.

This is crazy good food. Everything we've ordered from here has been consistently awesome. The black pepper beef is so absurdly good that it's almost criminal.Five stars plus top of the flag Mario sound.

This spot is good! Convenient prices, large dishes and the staff members are constantly very kind.

TASTES BETTER THAN BURMA 2 The sauces and spices of Burma unique are a lot better. And more fresh tasting. Burma 2 was bland! And I tasted the same dishes I usually get side by side! Their tofu and veggies are so good!
