Go to Casper's in Pleasant Hill. Good chili dog, clean tables, lots of parking and the one in Walnut Creek is closed for business.

Just a random stop because I was starving and I'm glad I did ! I first visited this shop 28 years ago when I first began my career in the Bay Area and frequently visited when I lived and worked in Walnut Creek, I learned on todays visit that this location will close indefinitely on April 17th. This location has be a local favorite for almost 40 years, however there isn't many locals left due to souring property values and Bay Area gentrification of those escaping the City. I'm happy I accidentally returned for the last time at this Walnut Creek location. Caspers will still operate their other shops as they own the properties at this locations, for now. This location will be a replaced by a large east cost corporate chain style restaurant. Thank you Casper's!

The food there is amazing!! Nice views from the window seats. Going there with a bunch of my buddies next week after school to get hotdogs. I highly recommend it!

When you have a hot dog craving as I often do, Casper's is the place to indulge! They never disappoint. An old fashioned hot dog that satisfies!
Old fashioned hot dog restaurant. No frills, just great hot dogs with good service at a reasonable price. You can opt for a combo with drink and chips.

Considering there is literally no where in the state of CA to get a good hot dog this place has zero competition, I usually go to the Pleasant Hill location which is always fresh and delicious. It's always usually a good dog but my most recent experience (from this location anyways) was not that great, bun was stale and the dog was not fresh.
