The food is good not salty, we ate no meat today for its good friday holy week. The Egg Drop drop with seaweeds is perfect.Vegetarian options: Not too much because most of their dishes have pork.Kid-friendliness: Friendly with children and old too.
Visited December 17, 2023The most delicious Chinese dumplings I've had in the US!If you visit during peak times, there may be a wait. Despite its popularity, the space is small. You can use your smartphone to wait while waiting, but since the waiter will call you on the spot, it is recommended that you wait nearby rather than walking too far.Two people, a man and a woman, visited and ate xiao long bao, the restaurant's famous half-fried dumplings, and tantanmen, but it seemed like we were full just by ordering two dumplings. Tantanmen is not spicy and has a nutty peanut sauce flavor. The dumplings are cooked immediately after ordering, so be careful as they are quite hot! However, the contents inside the blood were sturdy and warm, so I enjoyed it!!

Place gets pretty crowded and service can be kind of slow. They don't check in on you much either. The food is great though. I love soup dumplings and was looking around for a while to find a good enough place out in the bay to satisfy my craving when I get it and this place definitely does the trick!

My meal seemed okay, Dan Dan Noodles, spicy pork and shrimp/pork dumplings. I ate some in the restaurant and toon the rest home, ended up throwing it away because of the weird smell. The ingredients did not seem fresh. Will not return ever!

There are very limited Chinese restaurants that serve dumplings and noodles in Contra Costa. Typically would need to go to the South Bay or San Francisco for quality. Gave this place a try for the first time. Ordered the standard dishes to give a proper judgement: Pork Xiao long bao and spicy braised beef noodle soup. This is a modern/fusion with an American twist. Both were disappointing. The Xiao long bao soup tasted sweet. The black vinegar sauce hardly had any ginger slices and the spicy beef noodle soup was mild in spice at best and the beef wad full of fat. Luckily it wasn't chewy. The tomatoes were served raw whereas traditionally they are cooked in the stock.

Food was decent, aside from the sliced, spicy beef. The slices were way too thick and not very flavorful. I order this dish a lot at other places. The fried dumpling was easily the best item.

Average dumpling restaurant. My steamed baos were tough and wet compared to fluffy. Hot and sour soup was tasty on a cold day.Would not return.

The Dan Dan Sesame Paste noodles are exquisite, but be aware that is really heavy oil for your tummy ?

Great food, although they weren't very prompt at seating people. The weather was quite cold and it would have been nice if the outside seating had another heat lamp.

Favorite local dumpling spot after weekend swim lessons. Super happy they just opened a location near where we live on Lakeshore. Never have to wait too long for a table and they have both outdoor and indoor options. Service is very fast and the servers are very nice. The restaurant is clean. The only down side is there is only one bathroom in the way back. You can see them making the dumplings as you walk to the back. Must try the xiao long bao and the juicy fried pork buns. Their noodles are all very good too and the cucumber appetizer.
