Ordered several dishes and the food was a little saltier for my taste but it was well prepared. And the olive oil for the bread was very good and tasty

Sweet little place, and attentive service. We loved that it was quiet- we could have a real conversation, but we somehow never heard the other tables. Food was lovely, generous & delicious portions.

Everything was ok, the server could not have been nicer but everything was just a little off. The onion soup was super sweet, could have been more savory. My scallops were soaked in a morel sauce, it was sad because they had incredible flavor. I had to wipe the sauce off of it and the asparagus was overcooked. This place is usually great but it had an off night.

This was our Valentine's Celebration and the experience was wonderful. Service was attentive yet not hovering. I had the seafood bouillabaisse special and my wife had the beef bourguignon. Both were excellent and a good value. We will definitely return

We love this restaurant. It never disappoints. We have been eating here since about a week after the Concord opening in 2013. We were sorry to see it leave Concord since we were only 5 min away, but the Walnut Creek location is absolutely lovely and gives you a nice visit to the fun action on Main Street Our go to main course is the duck breast, which is always perfectly done - crispy outside, medium rare inside. The fried polenta and beautifully prepared veggies add to the completion of the yummy tastes. I always start with escargot, but this visit I chose the mushroom soup. OMG Besides the main broth, the chef completed it with garlic croutons, truffle oil and a few tasty chewy chanterelles(?) on top. My husband had the french onion soup, which he loved. We then split the mixed greens with pears, pine nuts and honey viniagrette dressing. Perfect palate cleanser between courses. The other shoot out is the servers know how to pace the meal per our wants. Whether in a hurry or wanting to drawn the evening out for a couple of hours, they are on top of the timing. Meal courses are perfectly spaced out to be able to sip some wine and chat before next course is served. They understand the necessity of making the night a "date night" and letting you quietly enjoy yourself without rushing. This will always be our special night occasion at table for 2 next to wine wall. Thank you for past special dinners and for many more future ones.

We've always enjoyed this restaurant as the food is consistently good and the service and staff are always friendly and accommodating. We had reservations but had to wait a while for a table to come available, but it was worth it and we were given a complimentary dessert which few restaurants do nowadays. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

My wife and I went for a mid-week lunch on my birthday. La Sen is a gem of a restaurant if you appreciate French cuisine. We lived in the Bordeaux area for a couple of years, many years ago, and La Sen brings us back to many pleasant culinary memories from that time. This time, we had a cozy window table. We both had escargots as starters. Plump and delicious. The warm bread that comes with is fantastic. My wife was raving about her duck confit, and I had the most amazing mussels. There is a respectable wine selection, especially if you are just looking for a glass - or two. It's not often you see a Chardonnay from Burgundy listed by the glass. It was delicious! It's definitely a place we can recommend if you are interested in a quiet restaurant for delicious French food. It's a bit pricey, but we're for sure coming back.

La sen Bistro: A Culinary Journey to Remember. The menu at La sen Bistro offers a delightful mix of international and local flavors. Being a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available for me. I decided to go for the spinach and ricotta ravioli, and it was nothing short of perfection. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the filling was flavorful and creamy. My dining companion tried the grilled salmon, and it was equally impressive. The fish was cooked just right, and the accompanying vegetables added a nice crunch to the dish. One thing that stood out for me at La sen Bistro was the impeccable service. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and they went out of their way to cater to our needs. The chef also came out to check on us and ensure that we were having a good experience.La sen Bistro is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and excellent service. The cozy ambiance, delicious food, and attentive staff make it a standout dining destination in the city. I will definitely be coming back for more.

We waited at our table for 5 minutes before the waiting came. When we ordered two bottles of wine, he poured the first glass, left the bottles on the table, and never came back to refill our glasses. He dropped off our food, made zero conversation, and never checked on how our meal was. He did recognize that it was my son's birthday and put a candle in his dessert, which was nice. I will not be going back because the service was so disappointing. Too bad because the food was good.

This place is great. It feels like an old fashioned Parisienne bistro. Menu is classic French without any pretension. Inside is quiet in the front; not so much in the back. Wines are very reasonable.

The food was superb as it always is. We had 3 different entrees, Mussels, Magret de Canard, and Lamb Shank. The accompanying fresh vegetables were perfectly prepared. I especially liked the polenta that accompanied the Magret de Canard.

We had the special. Red snapper on top of seafood risotto. It was good. Snapper a little overcooked. Escargot are always perfect here. They have good bread. Good selection of wine. Dessert, the little apple-blueberry filled pastries served with some fresh berries and a scoop of vanilla gelato, is perfect. Overall a very good meal!

Felt like we were back in Aix en Provence! We were looking for a cozy little French restaurant and this is it. Wonderful menu, I had the pan roasted duck with salade au poire, and my wife enjoyed the onion soup and coq au vin. A nice Burgundy served by a friendly waitress and all at a reasonable price. We highly recommend and will definitely go back.
