The avolemeno soup delicious and so were the lettuce wraps which I ordered. My wife's also had a cup of avolemeno soup and an entre' included fries with feta, which was also delicious. O ordered a bowl of avolemeno soup (almost twice the price) which was barely filled whereas my wife's cup was fil.led to the brim. I asked for another ladle of soup which they refused. The restaurant was almost empty. The other restaurants on Main St were packed. It was a beautiful, warm, mid-afternoon. The crowds were out. We had dined at Opa! a couple of years earlier and had okay memories and were looking for Greek cuisiene. It wasn't just the portion of avolemeno soup was inadequate, even though the resturaunt was nearly empty, once the service staff took our order and delivered it, we were left fairly unattended and had to flag them down for water and tea refills. The service staff, a man and a women both have poor english language skills and acted like they were doing us a favor by comming to our table. The food was good but there are other Greek resturaunts nearby.

The food is mediocre, the staff friendly but for 2 out of our 3 orders wrong. Good natured about rectifying the errors!

Food was good. The restaurant was very quiet, yet the service was nonexistent. We could see the server in his phone for several minutes while we waited. In addition, having made a reservation, I indicated we were celebrating a birthday. Nothing was acknowledged.

We've come to Opa for years. The food has always been delicious and authentic, generous portions and super fresh ingredients and super friendly and welcoming staff. The sangria is so good. One of our favorite spots in Walnut Creek!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly and welcoming to families

Great little spot in downtown Walnut Grove. Atmosphere was great, wait staff were friendly and available when needed but respected our conversations and the food was delicious. The baklava with a Greek coffee really made the meal.

The lady who greeted you when you entered the restaurant was unhappy and negative. ??I think she is the boss or she is paid 5$ per hour. also the waiters wait for you to finish your meal to get new customers. i didn't like it.

Rather dark restaurant, with plenty of corners away from the bar and TV for quiet conversation. Excellent food, served in large quantities. I ordered the veggie flatbread and was only able to eat half. My friend ordered the meatloaf which came with three large slices, plus a heaping cup of mashed potatoes and a large helping of (unfortunately unstemmed) spinach. So we both took home at least another meal for ourselves in a box - which makes the meal a good value. Service attentive without being obtrusive. Refills on hot and Iced teas without having to wave for attention.

Had the lamb shank, it was delicious, my wife had the lamb chops, bout dinners were great. the waiter was very attentive. To end the evening, we had the Banana bread pudding, it also was great. We also like going there before going to the WC theater of arts play on Fridays nights

I went there with my family .We’re from Greece . The food doesn’t worth the money at all also, the atmosphere was nothing special .The waitress was very annoying and shouted very loudly. The chairs were too short with no reason .In general was a bad experience . We’re not going to go there again.
Eek. There was a hair in my food and it took 30 minutes to get a new kabob made. Meanwhile my sides got cold and the rest of the party was done eating. They did not offer a comp of any kind. My mom's gyros had very little meat and it was chunks of meat vs. shaved. If you want a traditional gyro, you're will get a better value going to a Greek lunch spot. I gave this spot two tries and unfortunately I won't be back.

The food was nothing special in general. Also, the dish prices were very very high. I ordered no cheese in my dish and I got a dish with cheese . Unacceptable. The waitress was shouting very loudly, she was very annoying. Was a bad experience for all my family.

Food was overcooked, too oily, had too much dressing or didn't taste very good. Service definitely tried to make things right and the food seemed fresh but they chefs just butchered the food. Definitely not anywhere close to being authentic.

Excellent menu and food preparation, prompt and attentive service, a bit too noisy for social dining -- but certainly the best Greek place in the area. Especially noteworthy is the short winelist, which has quality wines at very low markups, and a corkage policy that should be the envy of other restaurants (which means that they want to sell bottles, not glasses -- and they do). A very, very good place, to which we intend to return within a week!
