I enjoyed the atmosphere unexpectedly, since it is at the end of a small strip mall. The inside decor feels american Italian. The staff was friendly and capable. The wine list was ok and reasonably priced. I ordered the puttanesca and my partner ordered the pesto shrimp and chicken. Both were tasty. There are scattered tables catering to different size groups. There is a bar in the middle of the restaurant that looks comfortable. The menu should cater to many Italian tastes and the dessert menu looks good, though we didn't partake. Parking may be a problem. There doesn't look like there are many spaces.

Fraudulent management. I received a gift certificate for Christmas and when I went to use it. I was told that it had been too long since I got it. I reminded them that gift certificates NEVER expire. According to state law, they can't expire since it was paid for with cash money, it is a cash proxy. I showed them the state law mandating that they take their gift certificate and they said they didn't care about the law and to just deal with it. The owner is a crook and I would not frequent this restaurant as you would be helping an owner who is clearly practicing fraudulent business activities. I've reported them to the better business bureau as well as the district attorneys office.

I waited over 15 minutes and was not served and barely acknowledged. Customer service is nonexistent at this location. I left in favor of Wence's in Pleasant Hill. Much prompter, friendlier service there.

Kids’ marinara sauce too spicy. Adult Alfredo sauce bland. Slow service. And, they add a surcharge when you use a credit card.

For Valentines Day i made a reservation 2 wks in advance. When I arrived at the restaurant 10mins before my reservation time I was advised “we overbooked” “we have more reservations than we do tables so you will have to wait about 30mins”! This is ridiculous! So we stood at the bar and waited 10 mins to get a drink. When we finally got out table, the waitress said we should order because for the food to come out is over 30min wait. She didn't offer bread nor anything else to drink! By the time we got our food my pasta was cold. And we was still waiting for drinks. The waitress never came to see how our food was or to check on our drinks or even refill our water! when we got our drinks the actual bartender brought them to our table not the waitress. The drinks were great. Next we got our check all was correct but the waitress said our card wasn't working, my husband had to go watch her run it through as it did work, she wasn't running it correctly! Horrible experience! I will never return again!! & ill be complaining to the restaurant as well!!

Reservation was not honored, apparently the day was overbooked. Wait time was a half hour and once seated did not get service for another 20 minutes and only after we asked who our waitress would be. At that point, not sure it was the food or the disappointment, but taste was missing and the meal was not enjoyable. A waitress wearing thick black framed glasses was just not kind at all. But at the end, the owner came out and expressed his sincere apologies for the evening.

Excellent food! Could use a little uplift in the Italian persona but still a good place to eat!

Below average pasta for San Francisco prices. The carbonara was too runny tasting only of cream and pancetta. The chicken pasta's are a bit better. Ironic for a place with pasta in it's name that neither the rigatoni nor the fettuccine were made fresh, just store brought dry variety.

Stopped by here for a business trip and wasn't disappointed! Loved the food, had great and attentive service even during a busy night, and the price was great for such a big portion.

We've been here a couple of times. The food is decent, and they have a nice build your own pasta option for the kids. The maranara sauce is a little spicy for the littlest of our kids. The service is super slow, but the staff is very nice. Recommend when you have more leisure time and don't have to rush to get little kids to bed.

My husband and I dined here on 12/14/2023. Our server was Eva.After our bill was closed and Eva cleaned the table, she turned her back to me, and leaned over to my husband and said "I like that you eat slowly".I did not react at all. However, if she pull that stunt with another woman things could go badly very quickly. We eat out often and have NEVER had a waiter or waitress comment on how either one of us eat.Her comment was inappropriate and inexcusable. No matter how tasty the food might be Eva's comment is of poor taste. Her last comment makes this the last time we will choose this restaurant.

Been visiting this place since 2007. The food here is consistently delicious. I recommend the calamari steak appetizer and the carbonara!

The service is not good, there are two waitresses for the whole restaurant which makes a super slow service, it took us forever to pay and take our order, the owner should hire more people.
