Awesome place! First time going this past Friday with a group of friends. Friendly environment, nice to be around people my age! Mid thirties and up, great live band, great drinks and food. A must go to place if you’ve never been.

Fun spot. Parking is very difficult to find. The street parking is around the corner and very limited. The bar only had 3 bar tenders. Which seems low for a sold-out event. But they were nice and helpful. Good cover bands.

I've been to Retro Junkie a couple of times since going to the 80's prom NYE party which was a blast. I also went with my partner to take Salsa lessons and we had a great time. I love the vibe of this place, it's clean, and the staff are really nice. I can't wait to go back for more music and dancing.

The decorations inside are really fun! Loved the huge portrait on the wall and curious if it has any special meaning....next to the records, it was a whole vibe and I was digging it I appreciated they had the option to make a mocktail and my virgin mojito was amazing. Then we learned how to salsa and it was really fun. $10 is totally worth the dance class in my opinion! There's not much you can do for that price nowadays that's fun and something to do with the local community. It seemed like there was a small core group that attends salsa night regularly so it would be fun to go again sometime and see what kind of crowd it is. I've been to a few other bars in Walnut Creek and none of them had as good ambiance as this one - the music was on point too!

This establishment, in my opinion, seems to cater exclusively to those with limited alternatives. My visit to this place have been disappointing on multiple occasions. The staff appears uniterested in your comfort and rather inclined towards pressing for additional orders, especially if you choose to have drinks and unwind. During several visits, i encountered a situation where, after ordering several rounds of Maccallan, two ledies began tellng me about their company, and I politely covered the cost of their drinks. Later, they invited me to the VIP area where I was suddenly presented with a bill, and my credit card was declined. This was a surprising revelation, and the next morning, I discovered a 500$transaction. This experience gives the impression that the establishment prioritizes deceit over the comfort of its partons. It feels like my money and time were wasted here. I do not recommend visiting, as the experience was extremely negative, raising questions about the honesty and integrity of this establishment.
