Finally a good Chinese food spot in the area! The pot stickers are awesome and made fresh. The chow mein yummy and not greasy. Tastes like they use all fresh ingredients. The people are very nice and the decor is bright and clean.

We have some regular Sichuan restaurants in the area, but a quick Google search turned up Sichuan House and we had to give it a try. Thankfully, we came with family so we got to try many dishes, both Sichuan and non-Sichuan, and all in all, the food is okay. It isn't the best or most authentic Sichuan restaurant in the area so if you're after that authentic taste, I think it's worth the drive out to El Cerrito to eat at Sichuan Fusion, which I'd consider to be one of the best in the East Bay. Sichuan Fortune House in Pleasant Hill is another option if you don't feel like driving out of the way. Here's what we tried: 1. 夫妻肺片 (beef tripe, beef flake combination) - it's a cold appetizer and was alright, a bit salty, a bit sweet, not very spicy, and not very numbing. 2. 水煮魚片 (sichuan spicy boiled fish fillet) - it's fish braised with celery and napa cabbage braised in a spicy broth. The fish was quite fishy (not sure what kind of fish they used) and the flavor was really mild and lacking; not very numbing at all. 3. 幹扁四季豆 (dry cooked green bean) - these were alright but not super blistered like they normally are, and didn't have any of the preserved mustard greens 4. 蒜茸大豆苗 (sauteed green pea sprouts) - actually, we ordered this (and paid for it), but totally didn't realize it never came out! 5. 四川擔擔面 (spicy tan tan noodle) - this was probably one of the better dishes, though still very mild in flavor 6. 重慶辣子雞 (chongqing style spicy chicken wings) - this was a bit disappointing; very sweet, not very spicy, and not numbing at all 7. 核桃蝦 (prawns with honey glazed walnuts) - not really authentic Sichuan, but it was not bad. I think everyone felt they were way too sweet We had a few other dishes and a couple of soups as well. The hot and sour soup (not really Sichuanese) was quite bad. Service was fine but you don't really go to a Chinese restaurant for its service do you? :P Overall, there was a common theme. All the Sichuan dishes were dumbed down (not very spicy and lacking ma la) and sweeter than you'd normally have them. If you've had authentic Sichuan food, you know that the flavors explode in your mouth and blanket your tongue with the warming, citrus-y, numbing sensation. Perhaps its the demographic they cater to, but the food did not taste very authentic.

The is delicious and unique from any Chinese restaurant I have eaten at before. Luncheon specials are generous and very reasonable. You can order Clay Pots.

If you're in the concord area this is the place to go for authentic Chinese cuisine. Me and my office manager always find a day weekly to go grab some good lunch from this place. The clay pot is amazing ! The Mongolian beef one of the best I've ever had . I've also had the seafood soup for lunch and wonton which I highly recommend!!!

While craving some Chinese food, I decided to give this place a try, so I ordered take out. Absolutely loved the food ! It was spicy just like I was craving. Each thing we tried was a hit. The spicy wontons, spicy crispy beef, hot and sour and the sweet corn soup, all amazing! If you're unsure whether to try this place or not, undoubtedly go for it !
