Pricing canned goods I find I can purchase the same items at other grocery stores at prices 30 to 50% lower. I can see shopping for some quality items but I can’t see doing normal grocery shopping here. Same applies to their prepared foods. Coming from the east coast, what they offer as pizza to me looks like something I would get from the frozen section.

I would say that it was okay for me when I shopped there. I didn;t particullary like it, and feel like there wasn't a lot of choices. Plus, it was way too crowded.

Every time I return to east bay I have to pay a visit to Whole Foods Market. They have great selections of everything. From cheese, milk, beer to ice cream, deli, snacks, it’s hard to decide what to get. They also have things that you don’t normally get in regular grocery store. I especially like the mochi ice cream. Again many selections of flavors and so yummy. The place is spacious and is comfortable to shop around. Didn’t know grocery shopping can be so relaxing and enjoyable!

Gigantic Whole Foods – one of the largest in the Bay Area – but somewhat lacking in the speciality prepared foods and experiences (e.g., in-store restaurants/bars) that other big locations have.
