This is one of our go-to spots. Some of the best seafood around. Even beating out well-known SF restaurants. The Dungeness crab grilled cheese for lunch hit the spot. The clam chower has a nice creamy and rich flavor with some bacon thrown in. Call ahead to grab a fresh Dungeness crab or lobster.
A last minute reservation got us in and everything was outstanding. This was on a Saturday night.

Visited December 24, 2023America's Lifestyle Seafood Restaurant! What was refreshing was that the menu was updated every day. Since it was a little after lunch time, we were able to enter without a reservation. There is a bar in one place where you can order cocktails, and there is a place near the kitchen that stores and sells shellfish such as oysters, so you can see fresh seafood, which left a trustworthy impression when ordering food.I ordered pasta with mussels and clams, fish and chips, and clam chowder. I've ordered clam chowder and fish and chips a lot out west and they're always delicious. I especially fell in love with the mussel shell meat in the pasta because it was firm and soft, unlike any other seafood I've seen so far. Also, I was able to order wine and craft beer that went well with the food, so I enjoyed it with the food. It was a house I would like to visit again someday if I get the chance.

I recently dined at the Walnut Creek Yacht Club and came away with mixed feelings. On the plus side, the food is always well-prepared, a testament to the kitchen's consistency and skill. The Chelsea Gem oysters were a standout, arriving at the table perfect in every way and setting a high bar for the rest of the meal. However, not all dishes reached this level of excellence. The halibut with citrus butter, while very good, didn't quite live up to expectations, lacking a certain special touch that would make it memorable. Similarly, the clam pasta fell short of the mark. It was quite bland and suffered from an overabundance of butter, overshadowing the clams themselves. In summary, while there are definite highlights like the impeccable Chelsea Gem oysters, some offerings could benefit from a bit more inspiration and balance. The Walnut Creek Yacht Club has the potential for greatness, but a little more attention to the flavor profiles of some dishes would go a long way.3.5 stars.

I've been here a few times with my grandma and very much enjoyed it. We love going here for girls' days, always ordering the 24-piece oysters and garlic fries. The only criticism I do have is how packed it can be. We were on a tight schedule and couldn't make reservations a couple of weeks ago, and the seating was honestly quite bad. Having to squeeze a platter with 24 oysters onto a very thin table and eat it from a bar stool is not very enjoyable. Aside from that, I have enjoyed it every other time I have been. The food tastes amazing, and the service isn't bad.
Some of the freshest seafood you can get. When we lived in Walnut Creek we ate there often, now whenever I am back there WCYC is one of my must go to places.

Dear WCYCRe: order #244044031You made my 86-yr-old Mom SO HAPPY tonight! She wanted your steamed mussels without wine (She has an allergic reaction to wine). It’s her favorite item on your menu. Kudos to the chef! Thank you!

This restaurant is in the heart of Walnut Creek. January is Lobster Month, and it did not disappoint. We had the boiled lobster with the garlic fries, and our appetizer was the crab cakes. Which were great. Very flavorful. We had the legendary Mai Tai, and they were delicious as usual. We also had new zealand white wine, which was a great paring. It can be a bit noisy but still great experience.
