A perennial fave! Been bringing friends here for decades. Quality and service are consistently excellent. Fish tacos, carne asada tacos, so hard to decide, so I usually get one of each. Biggest tacos in town, fresh toppings.

El Ray's is a must stop at lunchtime on every trip to Loreto. Never disappointed and always a treat.

Excellent food. The carne tacos are very good. The prices are very reasonable. The place is a bit sketchy looking but look past that.

Fantastic asada and fish tacos, the food is made fresh to order, all the toppings are out for you to customize your taco. The tacos are very large and filling. The staff was fantastic, friendly, and spoke excellent English. The asada taco with flour tortilla was the best taco I have ever had in my life. The restaurant was recommended by a local hotel staff member. I am so glad that she recommended this restaurant!

Quite literally stumbled across this place while out early in my trip. They were not supposed to be open (according to google) but we saw a line, so gave it a try. My goodness it was delicious! Not much to look at inside, but so yum. Went back a few other times but they were not open again. Google hours are not anywhere close to accurate lol.

Go-to spot for late night tacos in Astoria. My favorite is the bistec quesadilla - SO much flavor!! Their tacos are also top notch. Never disappoints.

This is a review for the new bell Blvd location. My boyfriend and I tried this place out for the first time today and by the reviews we were really looking forward to it. We ordered two steak quesadillas and to be completely honest they were terrible. First of all the steak was so hard we could not even chew it basically spitting out every piece.. Tasted more like cartilage. Second they were extremely runny and soggy. The second we picked them up they completely fell apart...that part wasn't that big of a deal cus we just ended up using forks to continue eating. But still ... not what you'd consider an ideal quesadilla.. and we get them all the time. But what really turned me off was the fact that into my 3rd bite I felt something really sharp on my tongue. It felt like something pinched my tongue and it actually did leave a cut... I spit out the food to find this small piece of metal or tinfoil ... idk exactly but the point is it was sharp and cut my tongue. It was more on the thicker side and hard to bend so I'd go with metal. NO idea why there's metal In my food but ok. I know accidents happen but still... not ok. I just stopped eating my food after that. I'm sure there can be worse things in your food but regardless it was just the whole experience overall that just completely deterred me from this particular truck.

This was my go to Mexican food truck until they raised their prices and our more expensive than a sit down Mexican restaurant. I understand everything has gone up but a food truck shouldn't be raising its prices by 30%.

Our trips to Loreto wouldn't be complete without a stop at El Rey's. All of their selections are awesome! The fish tacos and Carne Asada tacos never disappoint! A "Must-Do" if your ever in the area.

Ordered: Tacos de Birria (~$15): 3 birria tacos with consome, onions, cilantro, radish, green and white sauces Aya's take: The price of these tacos has gone up by $3 since my last visit a few months before. I love the consome soaked in the taco shell then grilled, making it super crispy and delicious. The birria is also bursting with flavors and the toppings take it to the next level. ~$15 is a bit steep for 3 tacos, but if you're craving birria, El Rey is not a bad idea.

Inaccurate pricing as depicted on the side of their own truck. Surcharges for credit card usage. False advertising. Huge pictures of "Birria Tacos" on the side of their truck and "Sorry, I don't have it". Food is merely decent. Things have definitely taken a nosedive for this truck.

Two friendly guys, I have no clue their schedule or other spots, but I have seen this truck at 30th Ave and 33rd st. These are some of the top tier tacos I've had on the east coast. Note their schedule on certain apps/sites are not accurate. Amazing food, will have to snap a pic next, I usually just can't keep my hands off of them as soon as I start.
