FIve Star Catering is INCREDIBLE!I am not one to leave reviews (I think this is my first ever haha... but I had to this time!I cannot sing the praises of Five Star Catering enough! From start to finish of the wedding planning process they excelled in communicating, understanding our vision, working with our budget, and making us feel so taken care of. The wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. The appetizers were gorgeous and our guests raved about them, the drinks from the bar were so creatively done and the hard huckleberry lemonade they helped us to create as one of our signature drinks was a HUGE hit with the guests! The wedding feast was absolutely delicious. My husband and I were so impressed by the presentations and especially taste of the food. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD. Five Star Catering's wedding food is not your typical "wedding food." We all felt like we went out to a five star restaurant and guests were non stop talking about how tasty all of the food was. The service staff was just wonderful. They were all so kind and professional! Every glass of wine was full, plates were cleared quickly, they switched to coffee and desserts seamlessly, they didn't miss a beat. It was wonderful. And the late night nacho bar was so darn good!! Us and our friends and family were so well taken care of all night. We did not have to worry about a thing on the night of our wedding thanks to Five Star Catering. Our wedding reception was made so perfect thanks to Laura and her Five Star Catering crew! Laura puts her heart and soul into making every wedding a dream come true and thats what my husband and I felt at our wedding. We cannot thank you enough Five Star Catering!! You made our wedding day the best EVER. 110% Recommend them to any couple getting married and looking for a caterer. They do so much more than just the food!!

I’ve been procrastinating this review only because I’m not sure how to fully capture our amazing experience with Five Star Catering! My partner and I knew we wanted the food to leave an impression and feature local, farm-to-table options. Five Star delivered on the flavor, presentation, and the entire experience. Our wedding food and reception design truly came together so beautifully and being able to coordinate rentals directly through Five Star was a major bonus. Our guests LOVED the food, even our most snobby ones ;) commented on how much they enjoyed themselves. We spotted clean plates among all our guests despite having multicultural tastes, religious requirements, etc.Thank you Laura and team for being such an unforgettable part of our wedding!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Five Star Catering!!Food was in my top 3 priorities for my wedding. I wanted my guests to be talking about my food for years to come (I'm a big foodie!) I booked Five Star Catering for my wedding about 14 months out from my wedding (August 2023.) Laura was super helpful as I was planning a destination wedding in California from Hawaii. We flew in for our tasting in May 2023 and had SO much fun! We loved every single item they brought out for us which made picking our menu so easy and so hard at the same time! (Side note: her husband, the chef, and the sous chef were also super helpful as my car broke down in their parking lot - THANK YOU for helping us!!)The food was phenomenal, the set up and breakdown was seamless, and shoutout to Caitlin for being the real MVP! She last minute flexed the seating chart, made sure my aisle music was played, and went above and beyond to make sure I was catered to and had a chance to eat as a bride.I would book Five Star Catering over and over and over again! We could not be happier with our experience working with 5 Star! In our initial meetings with Laura to work out the menu we were able to make 2 special requests for items off the menu (a salad and an appetizer). All through the planning process we were SO excited about our menu and couldn’t wait to share with our guests. And having 5 Star come with all the rentals we needed made it so easy. Our guests were blown away by the food, and the service. Everyone was complimenting 5 Star throughout the day. We had our wedding at our church, which entailed rapidly re-setting the space from ceremony to lunch, and the 5 Star team did it perfectly and on schedule. They made everyone feel taken care of, especially our celiac guests. And they were phenomenal with clean up and resetting the space. In short, our wedding day would not have been possible without this team. We cannot express our gratitude and thanks enough. Look no further, 5 star has it all covered!!

We cannot say enough about the amazing job that Laura, Caitlin, and their Five Star Catering team did for our May wedding at Waterfall Lodge and Retreat in Ben Lomond! Laura was so easy to communicate with and so very flexible with the menu. When we did our pre-wedding planning, it was so easy to bounce ideas off of her and to work with her to craft our unique menu based on recommendations she had. When it was time for our in-person tasting, she was very attentive to the details that we wanted and was very accommodating when it came to subtle changes we wanted to make to the wedding menu so that we could accommodate all of our guests. Also, when we expressed our interest in designing custom signature cocktails, Caitlin at Five Star was very open to the idea and very helpful in coming up with unique recipes that fit the vision for our special day.When the wedding day rolled around, wow! The appetizers and dinner buffet were amazing! Such delicious food and so much of it! Our guests raved the entire night and for weeks after the wedding about how delicious the wedding food was and how full they were from the buffet-styled set-up we had! They were all so happy with the food and the service that Five Star provided! And the signature cocktails were so popular! People loved the uniqueness of the drinks and kept coming back for more!As for us, the newlyweds, we were busy running around with the photographer getting photos taken for much of the afternoon. But that didn’t stop Five Star from sending two attendants out to us with our signature cocktails and warm appetizers so that we could have them fresh! That little gesture was so nice and really telling of how great and detail oriented the team at Five Star Catering is! They really take good care for you and everyone else at the wedding.And at the end of the night, Five Star cleaned up and left nicely packaged leftovers from the wedding so that we could enjoy our delicious wedding food (that we didn’t really have a chance to eat during the wedding) for a few days! It was very nice to know that the food wouldn’t go to waste and that they would take care of making sure everything was cleaned up and packaged accordingly.We had heard so many good things about Five Star when looking for wedding caterers. Because how many things they offered as part of the wedding package, how cost effective they were in many ways, how good their food was, and how great their staff were. It’s crazy to think that despite knowing all of that, they really did an awesome job and exceeded our expectations! So thankful to Laura, Caitlin, and the team for their amazing job! I just returned from a wedding that was catered by Five Star Catering, at the UU Church of the Monterey Peninsula. The set up for feeding people was efficient and attractive. They brought all the tables and coverings, moving them into the space where the service had been held after it was over. While they were getting the buffet assembled, they moved through the waiting people with trays of varied appetizers, and they made sure that wine and beverages were plentiful. The food was excellent and delicious, well prepared. They made sure that everyone had what they needed, and effortlessly cleared away used plates, glasses, and etc. without being intrusive. I would not hesitate to hire them for a party or reception.

Omg Five Star catering is the BEST of the best!! I had them at my rehearsal dinner and wedding at Holman Ranch this July and they blew me away! For our rehearsal dinner we had the Fiesta taco bar and wow I wish I could have those tacos all the time.Our wedding food was also amazing and a guest remarked that our snapper was the best fish he ever had! Five Star's thoughtfulness also did not go unnoticed. Their entire staff was so kind to everyone and went out of their way to bring me & others water on such a hot day. Working with Laura and Caitlin was so easy and I felt taken care of the entire process. I can't wait to hire them again for future catering!

Five Star was amazing from the beginning. Laura has always been very responsive and accommodating for all of our needs. From the planning, tasting, setting up payments, follow up questions, everything was very professional. Our wedding day went off without any issues. (that we know of) It all was perfect on our end! The food was delicious. Catering staff made sure we had everything we needed at our table and checked on us throughout the night for drinks or food or anything. The entire process was so smooth and stress free. Food was delicious and filling and the best part was my husband and I actually were able to sit down and eat!! Laura and her husband Juan (the chef extraordinaire) gave us such a great experience, from the tasting we had (in 2021 as the world was reopening), and on our big day! All out guests loved the food. They are super accommodating, professional, and give great ideas on what to serve. Their food was delicious, and they even included the linens, plates, wine glasses, and utensils. 10/10!

Five star catering catered our wedding dinner and it was fantastic! We knew from the tasting event beforehand that everything they make is delicious, so it was honestly quite difficult to narrow it down for the big day. We enjoyed everything from the delicious appetizers, salad, and of course the main dishes. My favorites were the crostini, my wife loved the brie puffs, and we both loved the seafood crepe. We had a lot of guests who are vegan, and we were so grateful that they had plenty of delicious vegan options for appetizers and main dishes, which were also enjoyed by everyone without dietary restrictions. We went with family style and got lots of great reviews on the food and service from our guests. Thanks to Laura and all the five star catering chefs and staff for helping make our wedding day so special!

This is a long overdue review. We hired five star catering for a celebration of life event in Santa Cruz. Everything went smooth from the time we first contacted Laura to the end of the event. All of the staff at the event were very helpful and very professional. From the set up to break down, they were awesome. We are impressed. The food was delicious. We had the appetizer package menu and everything was very delicious. Highly recommend for any event if you need a caterer.

This is a long overdue review. We hired five star catering for a celebration of life event in Santa Cruz. Everything went smooth from the time we first contacted Laura to the end of the event. All of the staff at the event were very helpful and very professional. From the set up to break down, they were awesome. We are impressed. The food was delicious. We had the appetizer package menu and everything was very delicious. Highly recommend for any event if you need a caterer.
