I am really sorry to say that we were disappointed in the food. We had three sushi rolls snd an order of agedashi. The agedashi cane without a sauce and when we asked for one, we were given what tasted like a flavored vinegar. The rolls were tasteless and the sushi rice lacked cohesion. Our main server was helpful and efficient. We sat near the kitchen and the heavy guitar music was both loud and abrasive. I had high hopes for Imura but was very disappointed. Sorry

Solid spot! Very reasonably priced, for a good quantity of food. It's very busy, so come prepared for that. The food itself was good, but not amazing. You'll leave there happy, would definitely recommend if you're craving some comfort food.

Unbelievably tasty every time, the busy-ness of the restaurant is a clear testament to how amazing the food and service is. I came in today just to pick up a pickup order - on the phone with me and in the restaurant upon pickup they were so nice, where I had at least 3 separate nice interactions with staff members just in my short pickup window, not to mention the loveliness of the phone ordering in the first place. The food was ready exactly on time, everything tasted exactly how I pictured it, and even though I'm full now I still can't stop eating it. I want to specifically recommend the dragon roll and the sake tempura roll.

Wow, for 10+ years we've lived near this gem of a restaurant, and shopped weekly at the Nob Hill in the same shopping center, ... and yet never crossed the parking lot to eat here. This is the freshly prepared sushi we've been craving, the service staff was excellent, and the prices are surprisingly low (for great sushi). We had the Sake salmon roll, and another salmon roll with basil! So creative and delicious. Two soups, three rolls, one soft drink, one bowl of rice, and one hot Sake later - we made it out for $63 plus tip. Warning, we got there at 5:15 pm and by 6:15 pm the place was packed - ON A MONDAY! So I guess we're late to the party on this one!

As new transplants to Watsonville, it’s been hard to find good, consistent food and we’ve definitely hit the jackpot with Imura. Been here multiple times and it’s always delicious. Even our 8 year old can find something she loves. Definitely will be back and 10/10 recommend.Edited to add, we got the teriyaki chicken bento box and the short rib bento box. My daughter got the kids bento box. We got goyaza (sp?) and California rolls. Also had their miso soup, salad and egg rolls. All fantastic!
Excellent service every time I go, they greet me with an allergy that makes me feel very happy and an excellent waitress. I don't remember her name much but I think she is Yama Anani. God bless her for that big heart she has to serve.

today will be the last time we eat here ... guest be aware 18% gratuity is required on all parties ... I don't my mind tipping but to be so petty over pennies is shameful!! our check this week was $109 including tax we paid $127.00 ... the waitress asked for additional $.12 to equal exactly 18% and stated 18% is required!! 0.12 cents will cost them my future business!! Gratuity should be up to the guest and the amount based on quality of food and the quality of service... To require a tip is a lack of confidence in the quality of food and your staffs service .. Very disappointing we normally eat here 3 to 4 times a month... now we will be taking our business elsewhere
Fresh fish, solid rolls, friendly staff, always busy. There will be a wait some nights, but it's worth it.

There are so many great things about Imura, but sushi isn't one of them. The ambiance was fantastic with the various sections and hopping energy. The place was crowded when we went, and parking was easy. Sushi is my favorite food, so I've eaten this A LOT. Sushi at Imura was ok-fresh with flavors that are nothing special. The size and cuts were small, and the quantity of food was small. Service was minimal. We had to wait awhile to have someone take our order as well as getting the check. We'd watch workers walk towards us (yay!), but then they'd keep on walking without even making eye contact (noooo!). Our experience here was below average, but because the vibe was good, I may try it one more time and order a bento box since I read some Yelpers liked that here. I wouldn't return for sushi and sashimi though.
