Glad we chose this restaurant for dinner! We made the mistake of not making a reservation beforehand as it was completely packed on a Friday evening. There's indoor and outdoor covered seating with a heated patio. Luckily, there was open seating at the bar so my sister and I sat there. We indulged in a variety of dishes, including the mussel dynamite, jenny roll, philly roll, spicy scallop roll, spicy tuna roll, and Miyuki 3 dinner combo (Chicken Katsu, chicken teriyaki, & sashimi). The freshness of the fish was outstanding. I believe we were supposed to get miso soup and a salad with our dinner combo, but we didn't mind that our server forgot about it, given the generous portion sizes of our other selections. I didn't understand the purpose of the broccoli with the kewpie mayo that came with the dinner combo. The sushi rolls are not tightly packed so they do easily fall apart, but the rice they use is good. The rolls are also massive so you will get full from it. All of the ingredients they use are fresh. I probably would have liked if there was some sort of sauce on the rolls, but they're still tasty alone. Parking options include two small dedicated lots, but street parking is also available, albeit limited. In summary, the food was excellent, the staff friendly, service prompt, and the prices reasonable.

A great price for the quality of food they serve! i've never had a problem with anything i've ordered and service is usually quick when they are busy out the door! the only thing i would say is challenging is parking other than that the ambiance, the music, and the decor is amazing !

First time in Watsonville. I always try to find the best authentic sushi when in a new town and this place did Not disappoint. The sushi was fresh! Loved the hamachi and the rolls. Staff was friendly and excellent service was provided. Will def go there again if im back in town.

For 32 years since we moved to Norcal, we drove past this unassuming Japanese restaurant in an odd place as we passed through Watsonville, never stopping to try it. I often thought about it, though. Finally this year we purposely drove over the hill from Gilroy, where we live, and had dinner. It was very busy inside and the wait was fairly short. They take your number and you can relax in your car while you wait. All open tables and obviously popular with locals. Many customers seemed to know the staff and each other. I like places like that. We ended up meeting I believe the owner, who told me their history going back to the 70s and how their menu has not changed since then. The food was all great. We had a bit of everything. Looking forward to going back on a regular basis. I even bought a t shirt.

Been there six or seven times. Has always been good. Gyoza is great, tempura also. Good service. Will recommend!

Very good sushi selection, well made choices. Service can be slow since they are so popular, even though they have a lot of staff. Worth the wait.

Absolutely lovely, the food had generous portions and was delicious. The staff were the stand out, and made us feel welcome even on a busy Saturday night when they were run off their feet. Every member of staff there was kind and thoughtful and made our meal feel special. The locals are lucky to have this place, I'll be back!

Excellent!! I visit Watsonville frequently for work and Miyuki is a must stop for me. Their tempura is amazing, best I've tried in the area. Sushi is fresh, and their service is awesome. The rolls are good, I do wish there was more variety, but the one's I've tried were really good. I look forward to coming back to Watsonville and trying the other items on their menu.

We had an excellent dinner here, I understand what all of the good reviews are about. It is not a large place, so definitely make reservations even on a weeknight. Parking was a bit painful as there is a tiny lot in front but that lot was blocked by some truck so it was tricky to get out of. There is parking around back, where there is a large mural with the Japanese flag, so that is an option and there is a back entrance so you can get inside from there, but otherwise look for street parking. The place can hold almost twice as many folks in good weather as there is a good sized back patio. We came on a Weds night and it was full, we didn't have a reservation and there were 4 parties ahead of us. We were fine with sitting at the sushi bar so we were able to sit there immediately. The chefs and servers were great. The owner is very friendly and nice, helped my friend navigate items that were vegan - on request they can make a tempura batter without eggs that was excellent, so if you are vegan you can request that - it takes some extra time so be patient. Chef also said that the wonton wrappers for their homemade gyoza might contain egg which was thoughtful. We started with the homemade veggie gyoza that had edamame and veggies in them. The gyoza were freshly grilled and delicious. My friend likes the fermented soybeans natto and they had them as an option as sushi or alone in a bowl on request, he got the sushi form and loved it. The vegetable tempura was excellent, with 5 kinds of vegetables, wonderfully light batter, cooked perfectly and a great dipping sauce. I had the dragon roll with shrimp tempura, avocado, and unagi - it was really excellent and had a generous helping of wasabi and ginger. A regular customer had a birthday and they turned out the lights to bring out a cupcake with a candle and everyone snag happy birthday, it was very sweet. Clearly many local regulars come here which is always a good sign. Super friendly and accommodating, delicious food and good atmosphere, everything you want for a good dinner.
