Zameen is one of many food vendors located in the Watsonville Hangar, a community food hub at the municipal airport. Each vendor occupied a converted shipping container and they share a common outdoor courtyard where you can enjoy your food. The concept is similar to Abbott's Square in Santa Cruz. On our visit we tried the N.C. Hot or Not Chicken Sando from the Beer Mule, the red chili chicken salad from Zameen, and hot dogs and elote in a cup from Scoopdog. Zameen serves Mediterranean food with a California twist. Their red chili chicken salad was a sight to behold. All these vibrant colors from the different vegetables used. The portion was enough for two people. The sauces they used enliven every bite, albeit a little on the sour side. Their battered cod salad is supposed to be really good, as well as their baklava. Will try those next time!

I was surprised to see so many good reviews for a place that IS NEVER OPEN!! Had heard it was always closed from friends who worked in the area...so I went to check it out myself and sure enough it was closed!! The only response I got from a young guy who was trying to sneak out undetected was that "it was understaffed at the moment" Good luck trying to eat here

I often come here during lunch time to grab some food, it is always full of flavor. The feta fries are delicious, the chicken bowl is my go to & is always so fresh!! One of the best things is the amazing customer service. The young ladies are always so kind and calm. I love coming here! 10/10 for me

Came here after a day at the beach, and I will most definitely be back. Great setting that has outdoor seating next to a brewery and other eateries. Salad Bowl with Gyros: 4/5. Very flavorful meat over a bed of fresh salad. Very enjoyable. Feta fries: 4/5. I am not a big French fries fan, but the combo with cheese was subtle but very flavorful. Nicely creative. Next time I want to try the same thing with falafel or their veggie bowl, it all looks good.

I usually get the lamb bowl over couscous here. Pleased to find the generously portioned sliced lamb roast meat was considerably less grisly than what's typically served at their Aptos location. The couscous has a lot of potential with a minor tweak: I suggest toasting it before boiling so it's less clumpy.

Siri came up with this place when we asked for 'healthy' food. Expectations were not very high when we rolled by the row of cargo containers sitting out front, but were raised as we approached. Communal seating, guidelines for our pups (who are always with us), and some shade were helpful. I ordered the lamb bowl, and my wife had the lamb burger and fries. When the server came out with a very appetizing pair of meals, she noticed the pups, and offered them each a bowl of fresh water. +10 in my book for that. Extra gratuity happily given for caring about my pups.

This is the place to be! I had the gyro wrap. Wife had the chicken bowl. Both were delicious! Great atmosphere and outdoor seating.
My bowl was excellent but what was really impressive was a young employee literally a one person army that handled everything from taking the order busing the tables delivering the food all with a smile. She deserves every tip she gets

A nice hole in the wall type of small place serving Mediterranean food. Part of Watsonville airport along with few other food and drink places. Not a big menu but good price performer. The bowls and platter are all very good and the saffron rice or couscous sides are both good as well. Friendly staff and nice service.

Forgot, to place my review from a few weeks ago. Ordered, the chicken wrap. Not that great food was very cold for how long we waited for the food to be ready. Wrap consisted mostly, of veggies and very little chicken. The chicken was cold like it was in the fridge for a long time. I personally prefer my food to be warm when I'm eating it. Definitely, will not be returning.
