All kinds of street food skewers and grilled seafood you can find here. It takes you back to our beloved Philippines when you dine here.

Skewers were delicious. Flavors that reminded me of my childhood. Had a little bit of everything. Ukoy and the chicharron bulaklak were great. Kwek kwek was good too but who can say no to to quail eggs battered and deep fried. I'll try the bowls next time and maybe the crispy pasta or lechon.

Been wanting to check this place out but the LA location is so far. We pretty much tried all the skewers available with our favorites ones being the quail egg, chicken skin, pork belly and their longanisa. Everything tasted solid though but the best thing here was the friendly hospitality!

Not bad! Food is good, and price is exceptional. Every skewer is $1.50, and other items like cut mangos $8 and fried rice noodles $2. Will recommend!Liked these dishes:- fried rice noodles for $2!- general rule of thumb: the more greasy fat it has, the better it tastes. Pork ears, pork belly, chicken thigh, pork, chicken skin were all great.- Philippines mango (cut and served with spicy sauce)Meh:- less greasy items like sausages, fish balls, liver...Vegetarian options: Some, but not labeled. Ask.

Went here to get some Filipino Street food. Ambiance is pretty bland, definitely no frills. Maybe it goes with the theme of the street for vibe? First time here. In terms of service, it's more of a self serve where you grab what you want and take it to the register, where you pay and the items that need to be cooked will then be cooked for you. Flavor wise, I wasn't very impressed. Some items felt very under seasoned, while others felt over seasoned. Definitely no consistency. Just did not meet the expectations I had for Filipino Street food. However, prices are fair enough, and staff was nice, so this boosts it up to three stars. Would I go back? Probably not. But if you're craving Filipino Street food and are in the area, maybe your experience will be better then mine

Just not the same as the original on Temple. 100% better experience and overall atmosphere. Want Dollar Hits, skip West Covina, make the drive to DTLA. It’s worth it.

Dollar eats is a Filipino street food joint. I always come here because of the variety of meat. Seafood, beef, chicken and pork. The skewers used to be $1 but now it's $1.50. The cashier was helpful, she explained how the order was placed and the different choices we had. Apart from the skewers they had rice and meat. Some came with an egg and some were just by itself. We ordered the beef with rice and bacon with rice(this came with egg). The bacon with rice was delicious. The bacon was not crispy but was very tasty. The had the tables and stools. The stools looked as if one would break it or will be uncomfortable sitting on it. I sat on it for about 30 minutes and it was comfortable. Here the drinks are bought. Even the water had to be bought which to me is not good. They do not sell fountain drinks all the drinks were bottled apart from the store made drinks. The star for me was the cantaloupe drink which was a store made drink. It was very good, strands of cantaloupe was in it.

This place is small and crowded, not to clean but still could be a good place for hangout. All the skewers were delicious and flavorful. Service was quick, the staffs were really nice and friendly.

Meh. I'm not quite bought into Dollar Hits' popularity. We had to wait for our food at Tony's nearby so we decided to come over here and get something to hold us over since we still had the drive home. Not sure what the hype is but I was not impressed.

Came here to try out their skewers since I've seen it pop up on the maps as recommended when I'm in the area. I have to say, the food is really hit or miss, but kinda can't blame them, given their pricing and their target demographics.Every skewer is priced at $1.50 with one of the intestine being priced at $1.75 each. Do take note that, not every skewer is allotted the same amount of food. Some of the skewers within the same group aren't even close in terms of how much food is on there. Some of the skewers have one less section to em than others in the same plate, so keep an eye out.If I had to say, safest choice for skewers would be the meat ones, as those are somewhat hard to go wrong. We've tried the liver, but it was too dry after they cooked it, so I would stay away from this one.Lastly, I would recommend getting the tiny fried fish, as they're a pretty good portion for snacking, with minimal intrusive flavors, but still oddly addicting.

This is the most unique restaurant I have visited. Food choices are made from cold meat “bits”. Then it is warmed up to order. I believe everything is already cooked. Very interesting and tasty choices like bits of bacon, pig ears, or chicken hearts. They also have fried chicken skin chicharrones. Your choice of sweet or sour dipping sauces. Do not go in looking for hamburgers, though they do have hot dogs as a safe fallback choice. Taking one star off because the food was a little bit greasy (deep fried?). Definitely recommended if you are looking for something different. Food is priced fairly. Very friendly service.

Went to the LA location a few months back so I had to check out this location. I was already aware that this location in West Covina does not provide the same grill it yourself experience but this location is much closer to home so I picked up the skewers and took it home to grill it myself. Was able to get several skewers from the counter and pay almost immediately since there was no line. Also bought a quarter pound of fried chicken skin and calamari which all totaled to about $50 for everything. Make sure to grab the sweet sauce and the vinegar to go which is a must for dipping your skewers in. They also gave me a separate container of bbq marinade since I told them I was going to barbecue the skewers myself. Atmosphere of the place was chill, I still think the other locations gives the true OG Filipino vibes that people are expecting when they think of Dollar Hits but this was a good alternative for a quick fix.
