This is a place you would like to come to if you want some authentic indonesian food/cuisine. I say the service is great even though there is a language barrier for people who only speaks english, the ladies who runs this place will still take care of you with love. A place filled with comfort, serenity, and the slow moving of time. I said the atmosphere of this small little restaurant is compare to no other place that serves authentic food of a country. The place also sells various asian snacks that many asians people would be familiar with. My mother and I order number 24 & 19 (with pics). I would call this place "A taste of Home" I know it's corny but it describe it perfectly. Look at the menu yall mwah :3

When we went, the owners and workers were busy fulfilling a catering order so perhaps they didn't notice us come in and awkwardly stand to the side. Other people were standing around as well, and it looked like they were waiting for their to-go orders. A bulk of the space is taken up by Asian products on shelves. So I guess this is a restaurant and a mini-grocery in one. We ordered the nasi bugkung padang and the nasi kuning. I preferred the latter as it was beef slathered in sauce on top of rice. So delicious. The bugkung panang was on the dry side and didn't have that much meat it in. It was flavorful though. They handed us glasses, utensils and our own water container. But the spout of the water container was a little bit dirty. I had to wipe it down myself. I'm sure this was an oversight. Perhaps because their clientele mostly orders canned drinks. All in all, this is a good place to eat at in a pinch. You have to be patient though, as they speak little English, so they won't be able to answer a lot of questions with detail, such as whether or not a dish is more sweet than savory, for example. They are kind and attentive, and they didn't rush us to order.

Tried to call in an order but their phone line was not working. Ordered numbers 19. Nasi Bungkus Padang, 32. Mie goreng Jawa, 42. Sate Kambing, and S1. Batagor. I'm not sure if they were busy with large orders or if everything takes a while to cook but it was a 35-40 minute wait after I ordered. Everything was good and came in big portions. Nasi Bungkus Padang Stewed beef and chicken with rice and came wrapped in a banana leaf. The chili sauce that came with it was spicy but delicious. I am not sure if you can buy/request more chili sauce because it would go well with everything else. Mie goreng Jawa Delicious stir fried eggs noodles. Comes with a side of hot sauce that packs some heat. Sate Kambing w/rice cakes Lamb satay that comes with some peanut sauce and chili sauce. Initially I wanted to try the chicken satay but got the lamb instead to try something different. I thought the meat was a bit tough and had some fatty parts that were hard to chew through. The flavor was good but I would try a different satay next time. I didn't know if it would be good with the rice cakes so I ordered it. Rice cakes reminded me of overcooked rice pressed together. The rice cakes wouldn't soak up any of the juices as expected so it tasted pretty bland. I would opt out of the rice cakes next time. Batagor Fried tofu with meat was different from what I expected. It's a soft tofu that has meat stuck to it and then fried. Some pieces were not together so some pieces are just meat or some meat with tofu. Overall it was delicious.

Nasi bungkus Padang 5/5 Full of greatness. The balado egg was boiled then deep fried before putting it into chili sauce .. the correct way but takes more time. Most ppl just skip deep frying the egg. This extra step adds more flavor to the egg and changes the texture. Nasi ayam kremes 5/5 The sayur asem that went with this , was great. And the chili sauce had keffir lime leaves that left that lingering great smell when you eat it Pempek 3/5 I see this dish isn't their strength. Too soft, not crispy enough and the sauce was too sweet. Not recommended Overall I love this place , just skipping their pempek next time

Food is so so and pricey. If you buy to go, make sure make sure you remember to ask for utensil and napkins otherwise you are doomed eating with your hands. 5 stars hotel price, 1 star cheap establishment. Pricey is ok but don't be cheap with utensil.

First time trying Indonesian food! Humble ambiance with mini store inside. Very fast service. Highly recommend their creamy durian smoothie made with real durian and then smoothly blended. Ayam gulai felt a little dry but tasted very delicious. Indonesian croquets tasted like chicken pot pie. Porridge was very filling and nicely accompanied with lime sauce. Note that they do not mess around with their spice. Host could've given us an introduction to the foods- they knew it was our first time...

Small and seemingly really authentic Indonesian place. There's one aisle with some market goods that were fun to browse. Table was a bit sticky. Everything we ate was delicious, but I loved the pork skewers and the peanut sauce it came with. The nasi bungkus padang that came in a banana leaf was super flavorful and perfect to pair with white rice. We also ordered a beef flat noodle dish that is good try if beef chow fun is your regular order at Cantonese places. Sadly wasn't a huge fan of the tofu dish -- the sauce was way too sweet for me. Btw, all their sauces are super delicious but some are very, very spicy!

I had the lamb and pork satay which are both excellent. If you don't get the rice cake you actually get five skewers each instead of four and the rice cake. They didn't serve the peanut sauce with it, you just have to ask for it. The nasi goreng was decent would have liked it more if the egg was on top of the rice sunny side up instead of mixed in. Menu prices are affordable. I will definitely be back.
