Lan Noodle is for sure the best noodle place I have tried so far. The noodles are fresh and handmade. It is done before your eyes from the scratch. They have different shapes of noodles from thick round to thin round to thinnest round to angel hair to wide flat, thin wide, chives flat or triangle noodle. So when you order your soup, be ready to choose your favorite noodle. Overall,The restaurant is very clean. There are plenty of parking spots, so there is no problem at all. The service was outstanding.Shout out to Clara who was our hostess. She explained the menu thoroughly. she also came to our table several times to check on us and to change the water carafe before we asked. The menu was very tempting , so we ordered many delicious dishes. Our meal was as follows; -Pork pan fried; it was absolutely one of the top pork pan fried I have ever tried. It was very juicy and flavorful. It is a must try one. -Kelp and Smashed cucumber. Both of them was really irresistible -Chicken Gizzards. It is not a very simple dish as you imagine. The taste was incredible, juicy and tender. -Veggie noodle soup which has mushrooms, silken tofu& bok choy with moderate spice. The amount was humongous. I chose the wide flat noodles. My goodness! The fresh noodles with the vegetables and some cilantro on the top with a light kick from the spice complement the soup.It was heavenly delicious! My daughter got their famous beef Lan noodles and she enjoyed it too. We also order beef Chinese burger to go. It was very tasty and flavorful. This one of the BEST noodle place, specially their comfort and savory food. It is a great place to try and hangout with friends or family and enjoy every single bite of their dishes.

OMG. Sooooo good. You don't find authentic like this very often. Broths were good and hand pulled noodles were fresh and great.

I've been coming here for a while now and never had a problem, I ordered some soup with spinach and needless to say I got food poisoning. Unfortunately, I wont be eating here again.

My 3rd time eating here at the West Covina location. The noodles are hand made right behind a glass partition where you can watch. You choose the broth flavor and noodle style along with your choice and style of meat. The soups are so filling so get ready to bring some home. A friend also recommended I try the large chicken platter. This was made with clever chopped chicken legs and tossed with the most amazing and flavorful sauce. Accompanied by wide flat noodles you will be back for more. The service here today by Clara was very attentive and she is so professional and friendly. You can not go wrong by spoiling a friend or family here. Check out my photos.

First off, this review is solely based on flavor. The restaurant is clean and the service is pretty good. But one big problem is when you ask for a recommendation, there should be an answer. My first recommendation would be to walk out and go next door (either side is fine)for dumplings or donuts. I love dumplings and noodles and prefer to experiment and try new cuisines. The waiter had no suggestions for us. We had to navigate the menue so we decided on the big chicken. It is $22 dollars. There is no 'big chicken'in the dish. You get one continuous long noodle, the ends of drumsticks, and the sauce has a coating that just numbs your mouth. You are left to figure out how to divide the one noodle with a spoon and chopsticks. The sauce was not particularly hot, just numbing. It made my whole family sick. We burped for 2 days. Big chicken: leftover chicken joints for $22 dollars and will cost your tongue. Cucumber salad: no flavor, but it was edible. It's better next door. Celery and peanut salad: more peanut and carrot. Zero flavor Dandan noodles: minced pork tastes like liver and not fresh Soup: Okay, but broth does not taste like anything (chicken, beef, or vegetable) but the numbing chili. In a last-ditch effort, we got the dumplings. Well, everything sucked so even though the dumplings were good, I can get a complete meal next door. Did I mention how expensive it was? If you have stock in tums, having gas is your thing, and enjoy burping up flavorless chili oil, you found your place. Suggestion: Take scissors to cut the continuous noodle.

Hands down Worth it. The chow mein is so yummy. The Chicken plate is so yummy, and huge Xiao Long Bao's are freshly made too and are sooo yummy!! I find the staff to be very kind and friendly. This is hands down one of my favorites. Be warned they do use numbing spice. So if you aren't a fan of it, just know it's not on the strong side (at least for the chicken special in picture) and ask to make sure the ones you want to try don't have it. Anyway~~ so fresh and so delicious! Ambiance is okay~ Clean

Unfortunately, Lan Noodle is one of those places that used to be really good a few years ago, but has went downhill overtime. Here's why: - The noodles used to be freshly made. I'm sure they still are, to some extent. The food came out so quickly that it seemed like the noodles were premade way ahead of time. The noodles itself were still ~somewhat~ chewy but lacked any flavor. - The spicy beef noodle soup used to be more flavorful a few years ago. It felt like they just added chili oil on top of their bland beef broth and called it a day. The spinach also wasn't boiled, they just put raw spinach in the hot soup and it "cooks" while you're eating it. The soup itself tasted one-dimensional and lacked any flavor. - Meat quality has gone downhill, and they give much less of it. The spicy beef soup comes with both the sliced beef and cubes of beef, but the cubes were so tiny (about the size of a dice) and the beef slices lacked flavor and had that texture and taste that old beef has when it's been previously frozen for a while. - The service was fast and the waiting staff was really nice and welcoming. - this place used to be bustling with customers, even on weekdays during lunch when this place first opened. Ambiance was very empty. Overall, okay experience, but not the same quality as it used to be.

Only thing good about this place was the atmosphere. Clean place with spacious tables unlike a lot of Chinese places. However the food was below average. We got the Braised Beef noodle, spicy beef noodle and spicy popcorn chicken. Unfortunately none was good. Chicken tasted like oil, noodle soups tasted bland and white rice was yellow?? Tasted like medicine. I don't know why it has so many great reviews, maybe we went wrong time. I've had tons of Chinese food here in Cali and this one one of the worst I've had.

Good flavor, served fresh and hot. We tried a variety of dishes and were not disappointed. The table favorite were the Xiao Long Bao. Fair price and good service. I would eat there again.

Fresh hand pulled and knife cut noodles! I was not feeling hot soup with noodles, so I ordered Dan Dan noodles with is a dry style of noodles with a nutty/creamy sauce and some spice. The average price of food choices were about $14-$15 which was okay. The food took about 8 minutes to come which wasn't bad and the service was friendly too. We were there before the lunch rush luckily so eat around those hours if you're interested in coming here because those plaza can get pretty packed as is with the popular stores around this plaza. The restaurant is not too large, so it didn't get to rowdy where we could not hear each other. I think I'll try the soup noodles next time since the Szechuan mala numbing spice in the Dan Dan noodles were more present than I expected. I prefer more of a nutty flavor
