We stopped by real quick to pick up a pie for a birthday. We did not get to enjoy a slice of the pie, so I couldn't rate on food. But the service was great. Quick and efficient.

Decided to have lunch here after shopping a long time at IKEA.Which is next door, a little disappointed by our service. Are we just told us that she was the only one working and had a large table. So of course we had to wait a long time for everything. The food was okay. It doesn't taste like it used to. Order the small pot pie and Caesar salad and my friend had a burger. A side note the cheese that came in the burger was disgusting. Overall, I would have to say it is very bland.. I figure the food is blamed because of the demographics it attracts. However, I took a strawberry pie home and that was on point.

Food was ok . Their cream pies aren't cream pies anymore, they're unlike any cream pie I've ever eaten. They're not like pudding, more like coagulated gelatin. We went to a friend's birthday party.

I went to buy two pies for "pie month" and prior to going I looked up the menu and looked up the prices and went in to make my purchase ! The total I was expecting to pay was less than 18 dollars but was charged 30.00 then a couple days later my friend and I went to get pies and asked for a menu to see prices and were told they don't exist !!! The site I looked at has since been taken down ! They advertise 5.00 off all pies but it's obvious they raised their prices at least 5.00 per pie !! So really no discount at all !! I'll bet on March 1st the pies will be the same price as this month !! I can bet money on it !!!

Change of ownership. There was only 1 cashier at the front counter. There wasn't anyone to seat incoming guests. I overheard a waitress inform the lady at the front counter not to seat anyone else because the new person just started that day. They were only seating guests in the bar dining area. The entire other side of the restaurant was empty. A few customers got tired of waiting and left while I was waiting in line to order. I prefer the Marie's in Glendora/Azusa much better. They are much more efficient.

The restaurant esthetic is not very good, the inside looks outdated and not very appealing. The food was mediocre, my salad was not cold and the pot pie was a little too salty.

I want to preface this review by saying we did have 17 people for breakfast on our visit. The staff and our server were very nice and accommodating. No complaints there. We were dining in for breakfast. We arrived at 9am right when it opened and were seated immediately. The issue is not service at all. The issue was the food. It was breakfast - the restaurant was not busy, and they had just opened. So it was hard for us to understand why the food was cold. The hashbrowns were cold, the sausage was cold. The only thing really hot was the coffee. I ordered English muffin it was the tiniest English muffin I have ever seen and cut uneven. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits looked like small tiny flat discs. And the gravy was sub-par and cold. Note that we did not report any of these issues during our visit. As we did not want to seem difficult. But also because I don’t think the remedy would have been different. We ate because we were hungry…the food was edible but just not great.Again service was excellent…just breakfast needs a re-boot or just open for lunch and dinner. Also - I would suggest a bathroom remodel - it smelled old.BTW…I should have bought a pie…as they looked amazing.

Marie Calenders started in my home town so it has a special place in my heart. Having said that the food was good as it has always been. The pies are tasty as ever. The staff was friendly and did a fine job. I think they need to prove and update the menu choices. Also the restaurant is still stuck in the 70's. Literally I get that their clientele is largely in their 50s to 80s but playing 70's music? Any light jazz would be preferable. I fear they are not going to be around much longer if they can't attract a younger crowd soon. **Update 9/16/23 I had dinner with my wife at Marie Callanders tonight. We both had the mini Shepard's pie salad and pie. This was a great deal at $16.it was not a large meal but just right in size. We both enjoyed the meal. 2-18-24 we ordered the chicken pot pie salad and pie deal tonight. Again the food was good and our waiter was a bit of a character, which made for an enjoyable meal.

Do not buy pies from this Marie Callendars. I made a special trip to pick up two for Valentine's Day, and got home to find that one was the wrong pie, and the other was completely liquid in the middle. I called and spoke with four different people, but they refused to give me a refund unless I brought the pies back, even though I explained that I had made a special visit and it would be 2 hours round trip to bring them back. They finally agreed to refund ONE of the pies, but not the one that is inedible and a health hazard. Other locations have such great food and service. I am so angry and disappointed.

My mom and I came on a Wednesday because she likes the older crowd and the buy one entree and two drinks, get a free entree coupons she gets via email. We've gone several times for lunch and I have been pleasantly surprised by the food. Honestly, I had low expectations but the food is pretty decent. My favorite is the shrimp tacos, healthy and tasty. This last time my mom got the roast beef dip sandwich, but she usually gets the roasted turkey plate. Also, on our last visit they were short-staffed so there was a little bit of a wait, but the waitress was calm, cool, and collected and I appreciated her responsiveness considering the circumstances.I am not a huge fan of sweets, but next time I will grab a pie or cornbread because the display case looked like it had some great tasting stuff.
