Was very difficult to place the order over phone because of the background noise & language.Was told 25 minutes on the phone.Rude service on arrival and make me wait an additional 20 minutes after 30 minutes of arrival.

Everything about this place is 5 STARS!!! The sashimi is so fresh, the baked lotus roll is savory and AMAZING. The service is good, and the price is pretty inexpensive for the quality you pay for. I recommend this place to anybody who likes sushi. You WON'T be disappointed. :)

excellent friendly service. I ordered some real wasabi (off menu) and they made it promptly for us. All the fish was clean and delicious and it's impressive given that this is in a mall. Highly recommend.

Lovely place and got sat down right away. Chilly inside so I recommend bringing a sweater on you if you get cold easily. The wait for our food wasn't long and the staff was very friendly! We ordered the baked salmon, eel sushi, tempura shrimp, and shrimp udon. All dishes were delicious and I will definitely be coming again!

Party of two adults decides to try Mikomo sushi after pickleball at near by courts. Mikomi is a modern Japanese fusion restaurant. Decor is simple, restaurant is clean and with outdoor sittings. There are only 2 servers, but they are quick and attentive. We take a look at the lunch special menu and regular menu then decided to order lunch a, b, c of BBQ pork belly(delicious), salmon roll, and mixed tempura(tempura batter is too thick and soggy) Mikomi tartare is a beautiful piece of art, but the taste is rather simple and lacks depth. And sushi roll is okay, too sweet in my opinion. Overall all the dishes have high marks on presentation, but sauce and taste is just better than okay. 3 for taste 4 for presentation, 4 for environment and service.

Came at 7:10 on a Friday for party of 4. There was a long(ish) wait to sit inside, so we opted to sit outside and was sat immediately. Our server was okay, it was busy enough for him to go to all his tables and check in but also busy enough for him accidentally skip over you - which is no problem, I get it. My issue is the wait time for food. We ordered 5 rolls and a tonkatsu ramen. After placing the order, the tonkatsu came out in a reasonable time and the spicy tuna roll came out about 2 mins after. Our friend was able to finish his entire bowl of ramen before any of the other rolls came out. It took ~30 minutes for 4 rolls to come out, separately. The rolls came out one at a time in like 10 minute intervals. We finished each roll before the next one came out....?!?!?!?! LOL Super unfortunate cause I honestly thought the food was really good! I would give this place another try because maybe a something happened today to slow service down and the food was really good. But it got me frustrated enough to write this review.

I usually go to the Monrovia location, but I tried the West Covina location due to proximity. I ordered the Yellowtail, Salmon, and Tuna sushi. The Yellowtail was fresh, but the Tuna and Salmon were a bit too oily. I prefer sushi rather than the rolls because of freshness. Overall, the service was great. The sushi came out literally 2 minutes after ordering.
This sushi was good! The service was quick. Ordered the fried sushi since I never had something like that I would definitely recommend. The servers were super nice and they help you out with the menus. The staff greet you in japanese as you enter and you can see the chefs making the sushi in fron of you.

i rlly didn't want to take a star off but i had to bcs of the ramen. i'm not sure if it always tastes like this but compared to the other japanese ramens i've tried, it was rlly not that good. the sushi was super fresh and warm depending on whether we got it raw or cooked, which i really liked. the service was extraordinary bcs they would check in from time to time and make sure everything was good. its a bit busy in there but every restaurant has their own environment to it, so it was a new yet cool experience. overall, i really liked the sushi and the workers. will go back for those two specifically heh :)
