I stopped by on my morning walk to try this place out. The friendly server seated us right away and brought out menus and poured us coffee. This is a nice little restaurant where everybody seated appeared to know each other based on the conversations i was hearing. I was impressed with the large amount of choices on the menu. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito. After a few minutes, the server returned to tell me she was sorry, but they ran out of large tortillas, so i just ordered a chorizo plate. To my surprise, when she brought out my order, it was a very big chorizo breakfast burrito. The cook improvised and constructed a burrito using small taco sized flour tortillas! It was a work of art! It tasted great and i almost couldnt finish it because of the size. Great service and i will become a regular!

My family and I love this place, we have been coming for a good while. Their pancakes are the best in town! I personally love their eggs Benedict, country fried steak, and biscuits and gravy. I would like to think we are regulars now. Their food and service is always good. Even when it's busy we don't have to wait a long time. Their food is always hot and they always keep your cup full of coffee or anything you order. I have even brought my friends and family and it's always been a hit. We love this place and look forward to staying regulars for a long time.

I got the chicken fried steak, it was really good. Service was great and helpful. It's not too crowded which was nice and they gave us a Togo cup for pink lemonade. Very nice place.

Been going to Penny's since it was on Hacienda & Maplegrove (bout 25 yrs ago) Hadn't been in a while Had steak & eggs with HOUSE POTATOES and it was all so tasty & delicious!! Waitess was nice but seemed new. The only drawback was she seemed to get busy with a couple of other tables and didn't come back to our side for most of our stay. Waited for coffee refill until I was done with my food. Only one more person behind the counter. Overall a good experience based on the food...and that amazing house salsa!

Just had breakfast there today. The French toast and pancakes are delicious. Service was fast and courteous. Bathrooms were well maintained and stocked. Parking was easy and well available. Will be going back routinely.

Under new ownership. We came in for the best biscuits and gravy, only to find out the gravy is no longer the same. Asked the waitress and was looked like we were crazy. Started to eat the omelette only for the eggs not to be done or the spinach actually cooked. We were asked how our food was and when explaining to the waitress what was wrong we were told we were rude and they walked away from us with our food plates. We couldn't even eat the food because it was disgusting and all the waitresses were able to say was that we were rude. Horrible service and people that don't know how to do their job. Response: that is a lie, the first waitress didn't have a response besides that rude. Once that happened we wanted the check and asked for the check on what we paid for. She was still charging us for the food that wasn't eaten. When we said we wouldn't pay for that food that is when she got pissed and said to leave. She offered to switch out the biscuits and gravy but we had toast already so there was no reason. Sounds to me like your employees aren't giving you the facts.

The yelp free pancake check in is only honored if you write a review. How did the owner want me to write a review if I hadn't even tasted the food yet! They need to change the verbiage on their yelp business page to reflect that! There's nothing special about this restaurant and I merely chose to come here because my cats name is Penny! The restaurant is on par with Dennys & Norms. Maybe a step below at that. So here's my review (& keep your pancake): 1. Everybody does everything here, the waitress is also the person at the register. That being said I noticed the owner handle money turn around and grab bread with her bare hands. Like wash them first, yea?!? 2. 3% charge if you use plastic, so bring cash 3. Restaurant is remodeled so it looks clean and new 4. Their eggs Benedict plate doesn't come with those extra choices: toast, English muffin, hash browns, pancakes- so you really aren't getting a bang for your buck here 5. Bland Would I ever come back?!? nope!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Been coming here for years, love the food but service SUCKS! Would not recommend ordering thru an app or thru phone because your order will be wrong or it will go missing. The servers ALL have attitude. They cannot work under pressure. 0/10 recommend.
