Gen has a Large selection of items to choose from. The Gen Signature Steak #1 and Gen Pork Loin #2 are pretty good but the lacks seasoning. The Pork Loin takes a while to cook but it's surprisingly tender. The Cajun Chicken #18 has good flavor but is not a spicy as you might expect. The Rib meat #10 is also good. Unlike other Korean BBQ places the sides here are very few. The kimchi is not as potent as you might hope it to be. I would say all the flavored are on the mild side. Spicy is not very spicy.

We used to go to Gen and their quality has gone way down and we have been craving Korean BBQ recently. Saw this show up and I had to go. The service is great. Someone checked in on us frequently enough that we felt notice but not so much that it was disruptive. We never asked for a grill change, someone would be there right away checking consistently to make sure we were good. Portions are good size and not too big that you feel like you can only order a few times. All the usual sides like fish cake, Kimchi and potato salad are just self service. This is great since I don't usually eat all of the sides and I can select just what I want. And then nothing goes to waste. Sad to see this place has now closed.

Came here at 8:40pm and the place was closed. Their time in google said it's open till 10pm today but on the door there was a sign saying "closed for renovation". So will probably be closed for at least a few more days. Nowhere did it say anything about that!!!!

For an AYCE Korean BBQ place, this place gets the job done. I wouldn't say it's the best quality meat but they have a good variety of options and service is good. You order the meats and some things like tofu soup or corn cheese off the menu but they also have a nice buffet area where you can refill your side dishes. There is a wide selection of things to choose from and they even have veggies, fried rice, noodles, and dumplings. The meat portions they give you are pretty big so i recommend asking for a half portion if you want to try several different things. We were pretty full after our first order... but we also filled up on all of the side dishes. I read some reviews that said the waiters cook the meat for you - not sure if that only happened when they recently opened because, when we went, we cooked our own food and all of the other customers cooked their own food as well.

This place was awesome! Great atmosphere. There was a bar right when you walk in filled with ice and beers with a big blow up beer. TVS showing every sports channel and every game on. Music of all genres The food was great! And for the best price. 19.99 for practically the whole menu ($24.99 to add like 5 additional meats) Plus you have a buffet set up for toppings you can grab at anytime! Love it

Unfortunately, I think this place wasn't memorable. The meats were fine, although we didn't eat too much, so if I were to come back, I would like to try more of the other meats. They have a bar with different ban chan, cooked food, etc. They have corn cheese and it was good! It's pretty cheap and service was really friendly and efficient.

I'll say it now. Thank GOD I now have a good KBBQ location right next to me! I no longer have to make the drive to industry for decent kbbq or drive to temple city/Ktown for an actual spot that caters what I look for in a typical kbbq spot. Great meat! Tried all of their popular beef items. Brisket (a bit on the fatty side), iron steak, bulgogi, sirloin & marinated rib! We had two rounds of the bulgogi and marinated rib! You are able to order 4 meats at a time! The appetizers, now this is what makes this place unique from other locations I've been too. Cheese corn? Delicious!! Two orders of that. Steamed rice, can't go wrong! And the steamed egg!! This was where it got interesting, the steam egg had melted cheese on top! so UNIQUE and delicious. You have your typical banchan waiting for you PLUS a melted cheese fondue on the grill (say whaaat). ALSO, a self serve banchan provided. From salad to veggies and pineapple (great for grilling), to delicious fried rice, japcahe(sorry if I misspelled), fishcake, radish wraps, potato salad and more all there! Another plus was how attentive the employees were. We had about 2-3 employees checking up on us regularly. We didn't feel like we had to chase down for more water and a grill change. Price is agreeable and worth it for what you get in my opinion. DEFINITELY will be a regular at this location! Out of all the businesses that have resided at this location, this is the first one I visit. A KBBQ was definitely missing! What supieses me more is that my dad (a picky eater/not the biggest KBBQ fan) REALLY liked it here!

This place is very good!!! What makes it good b/c the meats are fresh and clean not frozen and in huge portion. They also have rice cake's, steam corn cheese and japchae noddles. There customer service is outstanding and the buffet area is full of deliciousness and very clean. I highly recommend this place and it's only $19.99 AYCE including side dishes. I've been in Seoul, S.Korea for nine months so the food here reminds me of it.
