Read some reviews about it being closed when it's supposed to be opened, Here on a Sunday morning, and guess what, of course it's closed. Was going to try them out, but I guess not. Hate driving somewhere to try something new and this happens. Get it together Tamale st. You are closed Monday and Tuesday already, do your maintenance then. Think about your customers PLEASE!!

I was craving tamale. Tamale street is the best place in the neighborhood to get fresh, moist and savory tamale. The place is always clean and organized. The service is excellent and fast. There is plenty of parking spots.I ordered:-cheese tamale 5/5- special tamales 5/5- 2 tamale meal special: 5/5I chose chicken & pork tamales. It came with bean and rice, tortilla chips and salsa.- Horchata 5/5Really, their tamales are perfect and the masa is moist. Their Horchata is so creamy with perfect flavor of cinnamon and sweetness. This is my go to place when I am craving tamale

My mom was craving tamales, so i searched Yelp to find the best place, and I found Tamale Street. I called and made an order of 4 beef, 4 pork tamales. I also ordered rice and beans. I showed up, and my order was ready for pick up. My mom is very picky about the food she eats and complains often (she's such a pain ) but to my surprise and delight she liked the food! I'll be back.

Very good tamales. I'm sad they are closed mondays and Tuesdays due to those being my days off. But I came on a Sunday and myself and my family enjoyed them.

I'm a big tamale fan and a family member brought a couple dozen from Tamale Street. They were simply delicious. Not just the Best in town just the best in San Gabriel Valley. Hands down!

This is the second time that I have come to this place in the middle of the day during what are supposed to be their business hours, and this place is closed. This time, they even left the open sign out, causing me to further waste my time by getting out of my car and walking up to a locked door. At least the first time this happened to me, I could see closed sign from the street, so I didn't even pull in to the parking lot. I wish I could say something about the food, but unfortunately, they have been closed every time I come they are closed.

The food was great! Customer service was good and the presentation of the food was good as well. Nice clean atmosphere. it's a little small, but has out door seating. Lil pricy for tamales but, it's a business what do you expect.

I kept trying to remind myself to take a picture of the beautiful tamales (pre-me tearing into it) but I couldn't do it. I just kept eating them. They were so fresh and PACKED full of meat! We got the pork tamales and the beef tamales and the pork were our absolute favorite, but both were delicious. The beans and rice were also phenomenal. Absolutely recommend.Parking: Easy parking in front of the shop.

This was the second time I've been there. The first time was 5 stars all the way. This time we called ahead to order because we had a 45 minute ride to get there. When we got there they were out of what we ordered but said they put fresh ones in and that it would take 20 minutes. Fine, we dealt with that. When we came back after 20 minutes they said it would be another 20 minutes as they weren't done yet. At that point we weren't happy but figured since we drove 45 minutes to get there, we'd wait. They were done after that but to have to wait 40 minutes for food we called in for was a little ridiculous. So my star rating here is an average of my 2 experiences. I would like to say though that the tamales were EXCELLENT both times so they have that going for them.

This is my go to spot for tamale. I would say this is the best I've had so far. The only down side is you would need to call them in advance to make sure they aren't sold out otherwise you'll waste a trip there.

Great little place. Took my mom 4 different tamales so she could try a couple then and the 2 others later. She insisted in trying all 4 because she was enjoying each one. She loved them. She's in an assisted living apartment and we're always looking for good food around. Tamale street will definitely be part of our rotation.
