This is the 1st bad experience here. We go for lunch each get Ayce for about $30 per person. After ordering the waitress informs us they have no rice. I ask no rice at all or it's not ready she informs its just not cooked yet. Again I have to ask more details like when do they expect it to be ready. Rice is a main side how is that not ready when they open? So we are about 20 minutes into our meal before the rice is ready. We don't make a fuss. Not very big eaters but figured the ayce would be the best option anyways. We'll We only ordered 2 plates of meat each person an could not finish all of that so ask if we can take the vegetables and couple of slices of meat home she says no that's not allowed they will throw anything left away. Shocked because we literally only had 2 plates of meat and no extra veggies just the 1st set provided so its not like we were ordering this excess amount to take home. Whatever if its the rule to be a wasteful business and toss perfectly good vegetables so be it.. Then she tells us because there was 2 slices of meat left on the plate she would have to charge us an additional $10 for not finishing the food. Will never come back or support a wasteful business with terrible customer service..

Did not eat the all you can eat meat option, but I still got so full from it all. The staff is kind and patient. Reasons I come back again and again.

As a customer, I felt welcomed. They were very helpful in explaining the food items. Everything was fresh from meats to veggies. They have different kinds of soups and ranges of spiciness. Yummy for my tummy! All ages will enjoy!

Food was not bad! I went on a weekday afternoon so it was pretty empty. Service was fair, not bad, but also nothing that was amazing and stood out. The same could be said about the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a little older and everything is extremely old, but it didn't seem dirty. Overall, I personally felt everything was mid. Definitely better places out there for the price.

I have finally found a local shabu spot I like, and is fairly close to me! My review here isn't about the food. The food is great, the soup bases are great, and the buffet option is delicious! My low star review here reflects their inconsistent hours of operation and their not being open at the time the Yelp listing says they are. I've been here a couple of times but unfortunately, the last 2 times I tried to come here, they were not open.Instance 1We came on a weekday right at 11:30 am when it said they were open. We see staff inside prepping and waiting for them to open. At 11:35 am, one staff comes to the door and says they're going to open at 12 pm instead. We were on limited time so we decided to go elsewhere.Instance 2We came on another weekday, this time at around 12:00 believing that they were bound to be open. Nope, that wasn't the case. We parked and walked up to the door but saw that it was dark inside, with no activity. So we left.I would gladly return but TEN SHABU, you need to seriously sort out your hours of operation!

I am a delivery man, when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff needed to take a picture of the menu and get it to the kitchen, which needed to wait for one hour, isn't the time of the Courier money? If there's no way to make takeout, why open the takeout?

I used to frequent this place. But can't as much as the prices for AYCE went up! I hate to stop coming here but it is the only place that has Tom yum broth.

My mom loves shabu, so we have eaten at nearly every single one nearby. My old favorite used to be in Rowland, but slowly they started giving less meat and watering down their sauces. LOCATION: The hot pot is located in the far left corner of "Haven" plaza. This spot is small but in a popular location. I still remember when this plaza was rundown. Parking is widely available in the daytime. FOOD:I got the perfect ten combo. This comes with a 6-piece gyoza appetizer (your choice of chicken or pork), 10oz of angus beef, a premium soup base (default is pork bone), a standard veggie bowl, and white rice. The gyoza were a bit oily but still tasty! I ended up having toro instead of angus beef because my mom didn't realize when she ordered that toro was more fatty. The toro was really tasty and filling. The standard veggie bowl has lettuce, spinach, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, a piece of broccoli and a piece of taro. It also has some udon and ramen egg noodle. The soup base was ok. I think I would go with a more natural flavor next time. Also, beware, the mild is still spicy! If you don't want spicy, ask for "no spice."I love all the sauces! You get ponzu, sesame, and satay. There's also fresh green onion, garlic, minced radish, and chili sauce to add on your own.I like that the portions are huge and filling. The price isn't cheap, but if you aren't a big eater, you can easily get a second meal out of it. Would definitely come back!

My go-to shabu place with my friend. Food is always good and filling. Sometimes service is slow. Depends on the time of day. And sometimes the wait is long. Again depends on the time of day.

Not sure what it's like now, but this was one of the more popping restaurants in this plaza with multiple attempts to go here met with really long waits. My bro, his gf, and I were hungry for dinner and saw that there finally wasn't too much of a wait here on a weekday for dinner, so we jumped at the opportunity to finally dine here. There's high and low bar counter seating and also some tables at the periphery that currently wasn't occupied when we were there. Just a note though, the higher seats are a bit awkward in spacing so if you're dining in bigger than a group of 2, it might be slightly awkward. Random aside, I did find the wire wrapping with the paper that goes around veggie bundles in my veggies, but small mistake and no big deal overall. We ended up ordering the dinner for 2 combo that comes with any 2 meats or seafood items, 2 broths, veggies and noodles for 2 and a separate choose 2 combo at the 10 ounce size. In hindsight, it would have been better if we split the dinner for 2 amongst the 3 of us since it's a HUGE amount of meat for the dinner for 2. They also ran out of lamb, so my bro and his gf ended up doubling up for the beef as their protein and it ended up being a massive amount of meat that was almost borderline difficult to finish on top of all of the veggies and carbs provided to us (rice, udon and instant noodles, etc.). We ended up paying extra for their more premium soups such as the sukiyaki, and even more premium spicy tomato (not spicy at all by the way) and their Tomyum. Tomyum had a decently good sourness and savoriness to it and the sukiyaki was a tad sweet, but not bad. Veggies included lots of spinach, much more than what I'm used to at other shabu shabu places but nothing so bad. I ended up getting the beef and pork for my choose 2 combo and I honestly regret getting the pork. I've had better quality pork at other shabu shabu places, but it ended up being really dry and bland here, despite cooking at optimal times and temperatures in the broth. Sort of a pain to finish eating, but I've learned my lesson. My brother also got the yuzu-ade which was refreshing. Nicely salty citrus soda drink that I'd order again for sure. Speaking of yuzu, their ponzu was nicely refreshing and flavorful too. Definitely made the pork more bearable, as well as the large amount of meat we had. For the price point and quality, I honestly think there's better shabu shabu options out there especially if you venture more towards San Gabriel area or even towards Rowland Heights.
