SUPER authentic Taiwanese vegan food, taste just like in Taiwan and also lots of snacks and vege frozen foods too. Close to freeway with plenty easy free parking. Served in fast food style togo plates and plastic utensils. Clean environment will definitely be back.

Vegan items have the extra challenge of tasting and looking like its non-vegan counterpart, and most don't hit the mark. I was hesitant to try vegan food, but I loved Green Green Trees! Expect fresh food that's true to Taiwanese flavors. I think it was the best Taiwanese bento I've tried in the 626 so far, since a lot of them tend to be greasy, cheap, and undercooked. Tried the lions mane mushroom bento, pudding, and the sweet and sour "chicken" bento. The chicken and mushrooms was really good! And although the vegetables were just steamed with minimal seasoning, the entrees were layered with flavor. I didn't mind-- I felt that it made the meal healthy and balanced. The pudding was also "eggy" and sweet. Altho the color looks a little different than most puddings, it's understandable since it is a vegan dessert (and it was good)! It's evident that the owner is passionate about healthy and delicious cooking. From the fork-tender food to the quality of ingredients used, Green Green Trees hits all the marks: generously nutritious, homely, and delicious meals that will ALSO impress your traditionalist immigrant parents. While the owner is retiring soon, I hope that the rebrand to this business goes well! 加油!

Go now, last day 2/10. While this is sad news, I'm grateful to have had to dine here twice. Varying traditional comfort menu items will please any palette. My go to is the bento box deluxe. You can try a bit of everything and go home completely full and satisfied. Their mock meats are full of flavor and has great texture. Their house made XO sauce is their signature speciality and you can try it their rice side dishes. If you love this spicy umami sauce as much as I do, their offering a promo right now for their take home pouches. In addition to savory items, they have a array of desserts and drinks. My favorite was their tiramisu, very light to texture but balance of coffee and sweetness. Also they have a fridge full of frozen take home items to help your next meal plan. Sadly I don't live close enough and won't have another chance to visit. If your nearby, give this cozy restaurant and the sweet staff a try. You might discover something new to love.

The service was amazing, the owner was so kind and welcoming!! The food was just alright; I got the sweet and sour chicken bento and the rangoons. the rangoon filling and a few of the items in the bento box had an aftertaste I wasn't a huge fan of, but hey, I'm glad I finally tried this place!! Even if it wasn't the best vegan food I've had, it felt nice to support a kind person and their cruelty-free business :)

I came to this place with friends who recommended this place. Five stars because the owner is in the kitchen and she cooks all of the food. She makes her own XO sauce and sells them (which I bought a pack) and i love how believes in the power of food and what you eat and how it nourishes you from inside out. She's extremely nice and I think the food is actually excellent. I ordered their fried chicken Bento box and I was immediately thinking about how I can come back to try other things because I really enjoyed it. The bento box came with an assortment of veggies, wontons, fried tofu and taro.. the chicken also did not need any seasoning!! I was shocked! I was about to pour sriracha all over it until I took one bite and realized it did not need it!! Also love the Thai iced tea- boba is jelly like consistency I enjoyed! She's actually retiring next month so I believe she's leasing this building to another vegan restaurant. I'm really going to miss having her food!! Better check her out before she's gone, one of the best vegan places I've ever had! I will continue supporting you! Best of luck retiring and thank you for your love and care!

Food here is great--and it's always nice to support a cruelty free restaurant. It's not the most luxurious storefront, but comfortable enough, and the friendly owner helps to make you feel welcomed. Overall, I'd say this is a nice place for a quick, casual bite. Loved the crispy taro; I think this is a new item that isn't on the menu, but was advertised near the register, which is where you order your food before sitting down. Lion's mane was good, though a little too salty-- Still, it paired up nicely with the sweetness of the coconut sago. For my entree, I ordered the black pepper beef bento. It was delicious, if the portion size of the beef was a little small. Still, the portion of everything else was really good: lots of fried rice, lots of veggies, and the homemade XO sauce (which is also available for sale!) was excellent.

Neat vegan restaurant with a lot of unique menu offerings. Apparently they use no MSG in their cooking and all of the ingredients are natural, non-GMO, and organic. I've been meaning to try their food out especially since the closest Sweet Veggie has long closed in my area. Though it's not a buffet the food here is quite filling! We ordered to go and got the: 1) Bean Sauce Noodle: -This is made with "pork", bean curd, mushrooms, carrot, bamboo and peas. -Not that it was bad, but it wasn't my favorite from what we ordered. -I felt that the sauce wasn't as rich as what I'm used to when I order black bean noodles elsewhere and the noodles didn't really seep in the taste. So it just really tasted like doughier noodles with some light sauce on top. -Overall, just alright. 2) Daily Bento: -This comes with the option to choose your "protein", so I chose the vegan fish filet. It also comes with rice and some assorted veggies. -There's a lot more rice than "meat" on this place, but that's offset with the amount of veggies that they give you (broccoli and carrots). -The vegan fish filet was interesting as I believe it's mushroom? Not entirely sure but it wasn't chewy at all and nicely seasoned. 3) Fried Vegan Rangoon (6 pieces): -I love regular crab rangoons and this TASTES EXACTLY like those. Absolutely wild and delicious. 4) Sweet & Sour Chick-Un Combo Plate: -Definitely worth getting, especially since there's so much variety in this combo plate! Loved the kabocha pumpkin that they had in there and the "tuna" salad that was included too. Rich and creamy and liked the sweetness it has in it too. -I can barely distinguish the difference between the vegan chicken here and regular fried and breaded chicken bits that I would get at a regular Chinese restaurant, so it's that good! -The edamame was a bit dry, but this was the favorite of all the entree dishes that we got. One day I want to try their vegan sushi as well as get some more of their sweet and sour "chick-un" as well.

Love everything about this place. Food is always delicious. It's like mom's cooking at home with the same attentive and thoughtful service that the word 'service' seems inappropriate. I wish they were closer to our house.

This place is so good!! I have been here two times already and every time I tell myself that I can't wait to come back. Some of my favorite items are the lion's mane appetizer, the fried chick-in bento, and the sweet and sour bento. Also, the tremella drinks are sooo delicious. They are light and refreshing and taste super natural. I have tasted the vegan birds best dessert and it is refreshing as well. They are also very nice workers here. I will come back for sure.

Was feeling like eating vegetarian today for Buddhist practice and stumbled upon this place. This was hands down the best vegetarian food I've ever had. For the bentos, for $15 each and they come with a large assortment of different items. At the time they didn't have any bbq sausages so they gave me ham instead but it was still delicious. Get the chick-un, not sure how it's made or what it is but it's darn delicious. The vegetarian meat tastes almost like the real deal and this place really makes it easy to be vegetarian. Would try other bento boxes next time I'm around the area.

This is my partner's favorite vegan place and I can see why. For context, I'm not vegan but they are so we always eat at vegan places. The owner is kind and the ambiance is very cute and cozy. We got the daily bento boxes and felt full and satiated by the end of the meal. Very yummy with good variety. Also very good value for what you're getting. Would definitely go again.
