I simply enjoyed their dishes. I always get excellent service here. The place is clean and the employees are always very welcoming. Highly recommended.

I love Hawaiian / Korean short ribs. I was in the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try. The outside of the building shows a Vietnamese Restaurant and a Hawaiian BBQ. I thought I walked in to the wrong place. I found out that it is one Restaurant with 2 different menus. That is weird. The Short Ribs were actually the most expensive item on the menu. When I started to eat my Ribs, they were 95% Fat & Gristle. I thought perhaps this was just one or 2 bites. I tried to eat the meat but is wasn't edible. On the attached picture, the meat that I couldn't eat is in the little dish on the left. The meat I gave up is on the right. There were 2 waitresses with no training whatsoever. I told one of them that I wanted something else. My waitress told me that that is how the Ribs are. They know that The Ribs they buy are Fat & Gristle and they choose to serve this item instead of buying quality. My choices were 1/2 off my meal that I couldn't eat that I was expected to pay for and I could order another meal at full price. I just said I will take 1/2 off and get out of there and get something to eat at another restaurant. One of the waitresses was on the phone with the boss. When my check came, they gave me a 10% discount for inedible meat, 2 scoops of plain white Rice and a scoop of flavorless Macaroni salad. I said what happened? You told me 1/2 off. One of them said that her boss said that I could have 10% off and that was the best they could do. I couldn't believe it, except for the 3 scoops, all the food was on the plate. I said that I would be a good guy and pay 50% and just pay $6.00 for the 3 scoops and I was told that I didn't have a choice. I just said "I tried to do more than the right thing and over pay for scraps" just to be decent. The bottom line is I left everything on the table and just walked out since I didn't receive edible food and they wouldn't honor the unreasonable discount. Once in a while you get a bad meal and they just offer you something else. NOT HERE, YOU PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. Bottom line, is the food & service were horrible.

Came here while visiting some family in the area. My son is a picky eater and likes the Hawaiian shredded pork. So I looked on yelp and found this place. I also saw a picture of kalua pig on in the pictures so off we went. The girl who helped us was nice and helpful. I quickly looked at the menu and I didn't we the kalua pig. I asked the girl if they have any. She said no they don't offer it anymore. Bummer. So I ordered the chicken katsu for my son and I got the mixed plate. The food took awhile to come out. I guessed that they were cooking everything fresh. When the food arrived it looked good. My son (the picky eater) tried his chicken katsu. He didn't like it so I gave him some of the meat from my mixed plate and he was happy with that. I ate his chicken katsu and it had a different texture than other katsu I've had. Upon closer inspection I noticed that it looked like the chicken was marinated in some type of BBQ sauce or soy sauce. That's what gave it the weird flavor. Katsu isn't normally made like that. It was also oily. We finished our meal and decided to get some drinks. My son got a strawberry smoothie which he loved. I ordered a tai tea with boba. When I tried to push the straw through the plastic film, the sharp part of the straw bent. It wasn't strong enough to go through the plastic. So I straitened the tip and pushed harder into the plastic. Just then the plastic top that is supposed to be glued/heat sealed broke open spilling some of the tea on the floor. Aside from that the tea was good. When I got home my stomach got upset. I figured it was the oily chicken katsu as I hadn't eaten anything else besides that.

Late evening craving for some noodles. Ordered the Beef and veggie flat rice noodles Chinese style and it was actually pretty tasty! The noodles and veggies were perfect and nicely season, the meat was tender! I added a coconut smoothie with boba my total was just over $16. I ate alot and still have enough for 2 more servings - see picture

The saddest salad I have ever seen. Ordered the "island salad". Where is the "crispy" aspect of it? This location ALWAYS messes up our family size order...something is ALWAYS missing. This is my second and final straw with this place. I always pick up the to-go order and I open it up at home UPSET. BYE. 1 star for having a self serve sauce station.

Horrible service, horrible food. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I was so disappointed in this place. The waitress seemed nice at first taking mine and my husbands order quickly, but that's the beginning of the end. His meal came out quickly, but mine didn't, so I waited, and waited. As I sat watching my husband eat his meal, and the waitress pass by serving Everyone but me, I wondered if she forgot about me. Not once did she check on us! Long story short, my food never came, and the waitress never told me it was going take so long. I ended up canceling my order. Oh, and the food my husband had was super salty, not worth the 10 bucks we had to pay. One and done!!

I need to ask for basil. Spring roll is not very free. Basil is not fresh. I picked and this is what left....

Ordered the House Special and it came out piping hot. But bean sprouts and jalapeno seemed like they had been sitting in a fridge for 2 days. Tough flank and ok broth. Waitress was nice though

Boyfriend had ordered from here through UberEats. I think the choice came upon with free delivery so he had picked this place. Portion was really small compared to other restaurants and price was a little on the higher size for the portion I was given. Their menu has a large variety but not much of a selection when it comes to pho like most places but definitely the only place ive came around that even has vegetarian pho. I ordered the rare beef steak (pho tai) and my boyfriend had gotten the spicy stir fry beef vermecelli. Food smelled amazing. I was also fighting food poisoning so if scent doesnt bring out my appetite then I'd be very disappointed. Overall taste was typical. Rich broth, not bland and didnt have that strong MSG taste. Now the upsetting part was, pho tai usually comes rare. Meaning my meat shouldve been raw on the side for me to cook. My meat was cooked and left inside my soup. So being that I had ordered it from ubereats, it took a good while to arrive at my house. By the time i ate my pho, my steak was pretty much WELL DONE. Very chewy and overcooked. My boyfriend's food also smelled amazing and he said it was delicious and spicy. Overall my ratings is that this place is subpar. Nothing special other than having vegetarian pho and that they also have hawaiian bbq as a part of their menu which I find a strange combination/fusion.

They have a really tasty pho recipe and vermicelli. My fiancé and I love coming here over other pho places in West Covina so far. We once went to BMC pho and it just didn't compare. If eating at the restaurant, ask for wooden chop sticks, as the black ones they first give you are too smooth and slippery to grip the noodles properly.
