I remember this place as being one of the best places to go on a date because of easy to make reservation noice level and ambience and lighting. Food never disappoints and service impeccable. I wish my date was as good as the restaurant alas

Booked for Christmas dinner. The places looked gorgeous online but when we got there we were seated in the bar area and not told in advance that the main dining room would be closed. We were given the option to sit at a high top or at a small table keeping in mind we had several elderly people in our party… there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant my drink went unrefilled the whole evening. Plates were stacked up on the side of the table and nobody cleared them. This places toutes fine dining but in all honesty I’ve gotten better service at a coffee shop. 3 of our party got their entrees and the rest waited almost 10 minutes for theirs. My beef was ordered meadium rare but came out looking more like the sole of my Italian loafers. Presentation was 10/10 but the quality of food just wasn’t there for this price. We spent nearly 1000 dollars to be abused by the staff and for Mediocre wedding reception style food. It seems as if they opened last minute and wanted to cut corners just to be open. The manger was also a jerk when we made our displeasure known. He didn’t care at all and acted offended and defensive and as I was walking to the bathroom I heard him and the waiter talking trash about our table. So unprofessional. Ruined our Christmas ever and will not be returning. We had 8 people at our table I will make sure each one of them leaves a review as well. This is just unacceptable

We made reservations for Christmas Eve We brought my eighty eight year old father who is disabled . When we got to the restaurant They didn't have seating in the main dining room. They had limited the sitting to the bar area which was never told to us when we made the reservation. The only seating they had for us was a high table with stools. When we told the manager that we had an 88 year old disabled man with us. He seemed like he didnt care and said we had no choice but to sit there. That the other tables which were at ground level and bigger were reserved for others. We were a party of five. We had nowhere else to go since it was Christmas Eve. We knew that there were no reservations available anywhere else. My father did his best to climb up he is frail and we wanted to make the experiance great because he hardly gets out. He struggled to get on the stool and get comfortable with our help it was embarrassing for him. The awkward moment with manager already started. They could have made an exception and put us in the main dining. The bar area was noisy and had horrible loud music in the background. We decided to Try to make the best of it since it was Christmas Eve. But things just got worse. The starter was good we had the Seafood tower the waiter was very pleasant and did his best. We were used to eating at high end restaurants with impeccable service and accommodations. The fact that we were sitting in the bar area was very annoying. Our Starters were good we had the surf and turf My father had the oysters. Which je said was good and I had the endive salad which was good. Everything started to fall apart with the main course. Every time we were served a course We had to tell the servers assistant where to place the meal who ordered what. At a "high-end "restaurant this This is not normal. Your server usually knows who ordered what we were only 5 of us. Once the main course was served, the prime rib was overcooked. My nephew had asked for it to be rare. My sister had beef filet had asked for medium. She got rare I ordered the fish It was extremely fishy and dry, we all left a good portion of the meal on our plate as well as my brother-in-law Who ordered the sea bass as well. The garnish was more tastier than the fish. We were very disappointed with the main course. All of us agreed that for the price and the place that we were at that It was unacceptable. We could NOT enjoy our meal. We were debating whether or not to tell the manager. When it was time for the dessert it was the last straw. It come out at different intervalsEveryone got their desert at different times. The coffee we ordered with dessert was cold and we had to wait over 5 min to get sugar to the table. Two of us ordered the toffee pudding. It wasn't even a pudding it was a piece of cake and it tasted stale and dry. The pecan pie was ok. My dad ordered the apple tart which looked good but 3 out 5 of us waited more than 5 min for the other desserts to come out. When we finally got the courage to tell the manager he was not empathetic we told him everything that had happened and he didn't seem to care did not offer anything to make us walk away from the table feeling better about this experience. Super dissappointed so much so we left without leaving a tip for the waiter. My family has never done this but we were so upset at the manager that we felt the only way to send the message was to leave zero tip. I felt bad for our waiter he did a ok job with being short staffed but why should we pay for an expensive meal that was not what we expected. Then to top off the evening my father struggled to get out of the stool so much that when we halfway reached the exit he started vomitting. NEVER GOING BACK!

The food was really bad. The bill came to $366 for two people. It felt like a rip-off. One of us ordered filet mignon that came out cold and gated like it was pre-made and poorly re-heated. The whole thing was disappointing and a waste of a lot of money.

The Boxwood restaurant is a glorified bar with few tables, all next to the bar and a large screen TV with sports playing. The pictures on the website are not of this restaurant but of another (prettier) space in the hotel. We were looking for a festive holiday meal and felt fooled by how it was represented. The food was pretty good, the service excellent (we were the only party there) - but I do not recommend this restaurant unless you're staying at the hotel and want the convenience. Bright lighting, sterile surroundings, uncomfortable chairs and tables, terrible ambiance. The London should do better.

If you're thinking about making a reservation here, don't. The food is awful, the service is mediocre, the decor is non-existent, and the ambiance is repulsive. You can have a more elegant experience at a diner. Unless I feel the masochistic urge to have a bad meal under the fluorescent lights of a dirty interrogation room at an old folks home, I will never come here again.

Never seen such chaos and poor service at such a high end place. Thanksgiving 2023 = not your finest moment! 40 minutes to get drinks. Plates not cleared in a timely fashion. Sediment in the wine. Over 30 minutes to pay the bill. So sad because last year was outstanding.

Stayed at the hotel and had breakfast there. buffet variety not good enough for a five star hotel, nice ambiance, service and food average/okay. would not recommend or go back if not a hotel guest.

This is truly a hidden gem!!! I went for brunch and everything from food presentation to taste was amazing! The bottomless brunch was 100% worth it and great value for the price! The staff was so attentive and friendly especially Matthew. I will definitely come back when I visit LA again!Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu.

Very good food. Not over priced. But no real place to eat, except some sofas with low tables or the bar disk.

One of the best hidden restaurants in LA because it’s in the London hotel but it’s truly exceptional. Highly recommend going here even if you’re not staying at the hotel. I’ve prob ate here 50 times and have never had a bad meal.
