The service took a little bit longer than it should have for an overpriced salt-flavored sandwich. There are much better places in the area to go for brunch

UPDATE: I decided to give this place another shot five years later. Interior hasn’t been properly cleaned since the last time I was there. The customer-second vibe remains. WILL NEVER RETURN.8 am opening is more a suggestion. Don’t plan your day around this place.

First time having an oatmeal griddle cake. They were absolutely divine. My husband had the breakfast sandwich which was made to perfection. The host was very friendly and helpful. Even with the busyness of the restaurant, he followed up on our experience. Loved it!!!

Dollar to value ratio is incredible. Their griddle cakes never miss. Better than any pancake I've ever had. Also their home made ketchup is out of control good? And their staples (eggs and sausage) are also top tier.

They don't value customers and let the food get cold. The female cashier is indifferent and lifeless. If you order delivery, your food will be prepared at least an hour later because they don't care about you, they prioritize the orders of those who come to the shop. Do not order food from here.

The breakfast tacos are THE BOMB! Everything is really tasty. Super consistent. The griddle cakes are fire. So are the home fries, and avocado toast. Really well done breakfast.

Came here under the recommendation of my son, nephew, and wife who sampled their left overs. We were told it tastes better fresh off the grill. I can admit they weren't lying. Pancakes have that French toast flavor to them and what you thought to be syrup is not. I won't give anything away so you can experience for yourself. We got an order of eggs over easy that when poked, the yolk is not yellow like everywhere else. It was that orange you see when you hand pick the egg from the nest. The fries were another surprise for me. They were exactly what I had in mind although I wasn't the one that ordered them. I ended up eating half of my wife's plate they were so delicious. We also had the chicken sausage which I originally thought to be hash browns. Full of flavor and really enjoyable. How it works: order first, take your number to the table, wait to be blown away. Chill ambience to get your day started right. No pics of the food for we woofed it down too quick to make it to my review. Sorry. Maybe next time. Note that the service was good and prompt.

I never knew I would love a griddle cake. Traveling in the area, starving for my first meal around noon, after having waited over 30 minutes for my son to get his high end coffee from a swank modern establishment down the street, I simply asked Google Maps where I could get breakfast nearby, or maybe I googled Gluten Free Breakfast and this place turned up. It is a sliver of a tiny place with just two tables outside. The menu was brief but to the point - they make griddle cakes. And, they would do them gluten free for me. I ordered the OG, which was the maple cinnamon variety. I spied someones "soft scrambled eggs" on another plate and had to have a side of those. These were melt-in-your-mouth comfort goodness. They were light but thoroughly fulfilling. The eggs were perfection! I didn't even need to add salt. I asked for the maple cinnamon butter on the side and they served it in the shape of little 1/2" dia balls inside a small bowl. They were divine. I loved this place. I will go back next time I am in LA.

OG Oatmeal Griddle Cakes / 5 !Pork Sausage / 5 !Over Easy Eggs / 5 !The word on the street I had heard before visiting Breakfast By Salt's Cure was that they had amazing pancakes, so when I stopped recently, that was what I had to try. The internet community is right. They are awesome.I think it's fairly rare to have oats based pancakes, or if it isn't rare, I never notice them on menus. They have great texture, flavor, and are definitely worth trying out. I had the OG, but the menu includes some fun, flavor combinations if you want to liven up your oatcakes.I wanted to have a breakfast platter kind of meal, so I also tried out their pork sausage and eggs. Everything came out hot, fresh, full of flavor, and not too long after I ordered from their counter register. They have a cozy dining space and are quite busy during their breakfast brunch hours. I would recommend street parking, which was easy to find.
