Not a terrible spot, the food was the saving grace here , as extremely slow service , out of bloody Marie’s (hello BevMo across the street , mgr go get supplies to get you thru) no Mexican mochas, finally got the third drink ordered….. very loud place , so if your meeting for a catch up with friends be prepared to talk loud …..again, the bacon and the French toast saved the stars for this place….

Love love love this place. It never lets me down. The best breakfast, the friendliest staff, and a great atmosphere. The breakfast Sammie is my usually go to but the shrimp and grits is also amazing. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Joshua is my favorite server there. He’s always hilarious and sweet and takes great care of his tables.

Food was actually better than I expected. Weight staff seemed pleasant, but overworked. Plates were not cleared, coffee, never refilled and very difficult to get the check. Not to mention the bathrooms were not stocked replaced the column if you want to hear everyone else’s conversation.felt like we had to yell hear what the other person was saying directly across from us but again, do you want to sit at the bar and eat the food? It’s a great place.

ProsHuge props for vegan menu, it is great, lots of choice. I’ve had almost all dishes and they are always tasty. Dog friendly.ConsThe service is super slow and the hot drinks to start meal take a long time to get to the table. You can even see them sitting on the counter for a long time.I have had very cold lattes/ cappuccinos which is really unappealing. The espresso beans they use in them do not taste great, it is really quite weak and stale tasting. I don’t know if it’s unfiltered water, the grind or quality of beans but for a brunch place the coffee should not be this bad. but they take so long to get to you there is no point sending them back as you’d wait forever.The potatoes that come with some of the dishes are great, but ONLY if you are lucky and get fresh and hot batch. Or you can be unlucky and get them very cold and dried up.The vegan frittata (which was delicious) came in a metal dish on wooden board. The potatoes come on the wooden board. Boards are Incredibly disgusting and unhygienic to eat off. The cracks in them breed bacteria and you cant put them in a dishwasher. The side of toasted bread had black bits all over it which was some sort of burned Italian herb. Inedible.The place is very DIRTY. The floors are not swept and the tables are not clean. The last one I sat at was sticky and with visible crumbs. The bus boy cleans the tables with a dirty used rag. It should either be disposable towels or the rag kept soaked in disinfectant and replaced frequently. So do not eat anything if it falls off your plate. I didn’t realise how dirty the place was until after I last ate there and looked around. It was also pointed out to me by by partner at the end so we thought the same thing during the meal. I shudder to think about how your cutlery gets put on the table directly where a bacteria laden cloth has been. I just hope the kitchen and cross contamination training is better and cleaner than the eating area.The general look is of a tired place that needs lots of repainting, a deep clean and training on hygiene. The staff are perfectly pleasant but they are understaffed. Went here for breakfast right before heading to Universal Studios, and I'm glad we did. The staff and vibe were great. I ended up getting the Original Eggs Benedict with the Republic Latte, which were both delicious choices! My sister got the Ube Latte, which I tasted, and it was sooo good!
